GRADUATION CHARTS AS A PORTAL TO THE MEMORY OF THE “COLÉGIO COMERCIAL DE PICOS-PI” (1965-1977)

Resumo: This article analyzes the graduation charts from the “Colégio Comercial de Picos” (1965-1977), which are under the care of the Museum Ozildo Albano located in Picos (PI). Seven are the charts in the period overseen from the corresponding dates. The overall goal was to analyze the graduation charts as a register of the school culture of the “Colégio Comercial de Picos”. The specific goals were: a) investigate the graduation charts as a source in order to understand the relation between the school and the external community and b) understand the representation aspects of these charts for the school community. It was pointed, as theoretical-methodological presupposition, Cultural History (BURKE, 1992; CHARTIER, 1990) and it was used, for the analysis, the ideas of document/monument and memory of Le Goff (2003). The analysis lead us to the notion of the charts being memory-objects, a term employed by Benito (2018), and through those we were able to unveil a time, a place and life-style in the school as well as to how it relates to the community within which it is included in.

Hay siete marcos en el marco de tiempo adoptado, a partir de las fechas correspondientes. El objetivo general fue analizar los marcos de graduación como registro de la cultura escolar del Colégio Comercial de Picos. Los objetivos específicos fueron: a) investigar los marcos de graduación como fuente para el conocimiento de la relación entre la escuela y la comunidad externa y b) comprender los aspectos representativos de estas imagénes para la comunidad escolar. Como presupuesto teórico-metodologico, señalamos la Historia Cultural (BURKE, 1992; CHARTIER, 1990) y utilizamos, para el analisis, los conceptos de documento/monumento y memoria de Le Goff (2003). Los análisis nos llevaron a la idea de que las pinturas son objetos de memoria, término utilizado por Benito (2018), y a través de ellos podemos descubrir un tiempo, un espacio y una forma de vivir la escuela, así como su relación con la comunidad en la que se desenvuelve. Este artigo analisa os quadros de formatura do Colégio Comercial de Picos (1965-1977) que estão sob a guarda do Museu Ozildo Albano, em Picos (PI). São sete quadros no recorte temporal adotado, a partir das datas correspondentes. O objetivo geral foi analisar os quadros de formatura como registro da cultura escolar do Colégio Comercial de Picos. Os objetivos específicos foram: a) investigar os quadros de formatura como fonte para o conhecimento da relação entre a escola e a comunidade externa e b) compreender os aspectos representativos desses quadros para a comunidade escolar. Como pressuposto teórico-metodológico, apontamos a História Cultural (Burke, 1992; Chartier, 1990) e utilizamos, para a análise, os conceitos de documento/monumento e memória de Le Goff (2003).
