Resumo: Digital mobile technologies have been transforming the practice of journalism, influencing the gathering, production, distribution and consumption processes. This is the case of Periscope, live stream video application adopted by news media for its immediacy and ubiquity. This paper aims to find implications of this app usage in journalism from the case of ESPN Brasil. The aim is to analyze changes that the tool can generate in the language, narrative and journalistic routines, based on live broadcasts, understanding them as approximation strategy and promoting public engagement.DOI: 10.21204/2359-375X/ancora.v3n2p141-161
