The listener participation in the Jornal da CBN: an analysis about the use of WhatsApp in the news construction

Resumo: The emergence of digital technologies, the flow and speed of information arouses the need to understand and adhere to the technologies that facilitate the work in radio journalists, including mobility and speed to get information. In this sense, some broadcasters realized the tool WhatsApp Messenger (mobile app available that uses mobile data to exchange text messages, images, videos and audio) an opportunity to better communicate with their audiences. In the specific case, the CBN São Paulo radio station use the application on their programs transferring information service transmitted by listeners. This search want to understand, from the content analysis, how is the listener’s participation of the station through the application and how this contributes to building the news.

Nesse sentido, algumas emissoras perceberam na ferramenta WhatsApp Messenger (aplicativo para celular disponível que utiliza dados móveis para troca de mensagens de texto, imagens, vídeos e áudio) uma oportunidade para se comunicar melhor com seus públicos. No caso específico, a rádio CBN São Paulo utiliza o aplicativo em seus programas repassando informações de serviço transmitida pelos ouvintes.
