Resumo: | Cultural accessibility is based on ensuring access to culture for all people, based on the inclusion paradigm. The research problem consists of the following question: how has cultural accessibility been worked on in the equipment dedicated to the visual arts on campus I of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB)? In this investigation, we felt the need to evaluate these equipments from the point of view of cultural accessibility, respecting the humanistic aspect of equal access. The objective of this interdisciplinary research, located in the line of Educational Processes in Visual Arts, of the Associated Postgraduate Program in Visual Arts (PPGAV), of the Federal University of Paraíba (UFPB) and Federal University of Pernambuco (UFPE), was to analyze the cultural accessibility at the Pinacoteca and Lavandeira Art Gallery, cultural facilities linked to the Department of Visual Arts at UFPB, at Campus I, in the city of João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brazil. This work is characterized as a qualitative, exploratory research, through a case study, using as methodological procedures: review of the state of the art, bibliographical, normative, documentary research, architectural and urban survey, application of questionnaires. The assessment of cultural accessibility considered the existence of physical, communicational and attitudinal barriers in and around the environments. Spatial syntax was used to choose the route between the nearest public transport points and the equipment. Exploratory visits were made along the way, with photographic surveys, measurements and observations. The environments of the researched equipment were analyzed, as well as the project for the future headquarters of the pinacoteca, with a visit to the building work of the art and culture center, which is paralyzed. The research contributed so that possible architectural, urbanistic and communicational inadequacies identified in the surroundings and in the current equipment can be avoided in the future headquarters of the pinacoteca. Indications were made to make the environments surveyed more culturally accessible. Overall, physical accessibility was well evaluated, with the exception of the lack of a working elevator in the pinacoteca. Communicational accessibility showed deficiencies in several aspects. The assessment of attitudinal accessibility remained partially impossible due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In this research we also seek to analyze how students and graduates of the undergraduate course in visual arts at UFPB (undergraduate and bachelor's degrees) identify cultural accessibility in the cultural facilities mentioned. Teachers, who work or have worked in the management of these spaces, made contributions on the topic. With the knowledge that underlies cultural accessibility and universal design, we developed questionnaires applied online to verify the perception of this public about accessibility in cultural facilities. The questionnaires involved aspects of infrastructure and quality of access in the exhibition space. When analyzing the information collected, the research resulted in evaluations and proposals for adapting the equipment and its surroundings, aiming at cultural accessibility at Galeria Lavandeira, as well as in the current and future Pinacoteca of UFPB. |

Nesta investigação sentimos a necessidade de avaliar esses equipamentos do ponto de vista da acessibilidade cultural, respeitando o aspecto humanista do acesso igualitário. O objetivo desta pesquisa interdisciplinar, situada na linha de Processos Educacionais em Artes Visuais, do Programa Associado de Pós-Graduação em Artes Visuais (PPGAV), da Universidade Federal da Paraíba (UFPB) e Universidade Federal de Pernambuco (UFPE), foi analisar a acessibilidade cultural na Pinacoteca e na Galeria de Arte Lavandeira, equipamentos culturais vinculados ao Departamento de Artes Visuais da UFPB, no Campus I, na cidade de João Pessoa, Paraíba, Brasil. Este trabalho caracteriza-se como uma pesquisa qualitativa, exploratória, por meio de estudo de caso, utilizando como procedimentos metodológicos: revisão do estado da arte, pesquisa bibliográfica, normativa, documental, levantamento arquitetônico e urbanístico, aplicação de questionários. A avaliação da acessibilidade cultural considerou a existência de barreiras físicas, comunicacionais e atitudinais nos ambientes e em seu entorno. Foi utilizada a sintaxe espacial para escolha da rota entre os pontos mais próximos de transporte público e os equipamentos. Foram feitas visitas exploratórias no trajeto, com levantamento fotográfico, medições e observações. Os ambientes dos equipamentos pesquisados foram analisados, bem como o projeto da futura sede da pinacoteca, com visita à obra do centro de arte e cultura que se encontra paralisada. A pesquisa contribuiu para que possíveis inadequações arquitetônicas, urbanísticas e comunicacionais identificadas no entorno e nos equipamentos atuais possam ser evitadas na futura sede da pinacoteca. Foram realizadas indicações para que os ambientes pesquisados sejam culturalmente mais acessíveis. No geral, a acessibilidade física foi bem avaliada, com exceção da falta de elevador operante na pinacoteca. A acessibilidade comunicacional apresentou deficiências em vários aspectos. A avaliação da acessibilidade atitudinal restou parcialmente impossibilitada por conta da pandemia da Covid-19. Nesta pesquisa buscamos também analisar como estudantes e egressos do curso de graduação em artes visuais da UFPB (licenciatura e bacharelado) identificam a acessibilidade cultural nos equipamentos culturais citados. Docentes, que trabalham ou trabalharam na gestão desses espaços, deram contribuições sobre o tema. Com o conhecimento que fundamenta a acessibilidade cultural e o desenho universal, elaboramos questionários aplicados online para verificar a percepção desse público sobre a acessibilidade nos equipamentos culturais. Os questionários envolveram aspectos de infraestrutura e de qualidade do acesso no espaço expositivo.
