Dificuldades e estratégias de inserção do homem na atenção básica à saúde: a fala dos enfermeiros

The study has as central theme the inclusion of man in Basic Attention of Health. This is an exploratory-descriptive qualitative approach, developed in the Integrated Health Units (IUH) of the Sanitary Districts I, II, III, IV and V that make the network of health services in the city of João Pessoa - PB. It had as objective, to make an analyze the difficulties confrontedby nurses in the scope of health attention of the men, as well as strategies for entering the male clientele in health care in this level of attention. The data were collected by interview technique, supported by a semi-structured screenplay. Participated in this research, 28 nurses, who developed activities in Health Units selected for the study, for at least one year. For the research it was followed the ethical principles that govern research involving humans and appreciated your project by the Ethics and Research Center for Health Sciences UFPB obtaining assent as protocol nº 0114/13 and CAEE: 13597213.0.0000.5188, and the Secretariat of Health of João Pessoa, as well as the managers of health districts involved. Data analysis was supported by the technique of content analysis proposed by Bardin (2011), whose results reveal, on the one hand that the difficulties experienced in primary care in relation to men's health involve: Absence of this clientele, his deficit behavior self-care; feelings of fear linked to the work; deficit in the training of health professionals and the male perception of PNAISH; feminization of these services; incompatible schedules, in addition to excessive demands this level of care, and second, that to minimize/resolve them is critical: Insert the men from the Pre-Natal; obtain collaboration of women; qualify the host, develop specific actions in the community; effect active search through home visits and resume actions of the Family Planning Program. Thus, it can be said that the effectiveness of strategic actions referred by nurses depends on factors that underlie, among other things, by gender, instrumentalization of health professionals, readjustments care spaces this level of care, as well as the adequacy of work process of the professionals involved. Stands out as fact the interest of nurses participating in the survey mention strategies for the inclusion of men in the various health actions , thus revealing , particularly the concern of ourselves with these users , due to the high rates of mortality that demarcate the framework of the health-disease male clientele.
