Resumo: Introduction: The process of getting old is defined by countless biological, psychological and sociocultural changes in the subject and sexuality tracks these changes, being considered an indicator of the quality of life of geriatrics. Objectives: identify in the scientific literature the biological, psicossocial and cultural factors experienced by elderly people in the context of sexuality; verify the experience of the old-aged related to the sexuality in the process of aging; verify the strategies used by the medical care professionals in the care of the sexuality of aged people and elaborate a Strategies guide for health care professionals in the care for elderly sexuality. Methodology: a methodological study constituted by integrative revision, research of field and elaboration of a product. Health care professionals in Basic Units of Care and elderly people participated in this study in the city of Queimadas, state of Paraíba. The data collection was achieved with a questionnaire and a script of a half structured interview. The quantitative data was processed by utilization of Microsoft Excel and the qualitative data by the Iramuteq program. The data supported the elaboration of an educative guide with aid of the CoreIDRAW. Results and Discussion: Of the 16 articles selected, was observed that the major registry of publication in the year of 2018 (31,25%), in the field of Geriatry and Gerontology (37,5%) and Nursery (31,2%), in portuguese language (62,5%) and studies of qualitative nature (68,6%). The analysis of the lexicographic context by the Hierarchical Descending Classification, which retained 71,2% of the material, generated five classes, the first and the fourth referring to the eldery and denominated the Comprehension of the Sexuality (17,5%) and the experience and understanding of sexuality (25,5%), while the second, third and fifth classes refer to the professionals and the struggle to approach sexuality (15,8%); Strategies to approach sexuality (21%) and defining sexuality (20,2%). Of the total of 12 seniors, the gender feminine and masculine were equivalent to 50% each. However, there was a predominance of a age group between 60 and 69 years (58,3%), brown skin (50%), married/stable union (50%), residing with the spouse (66,6%), catholic religion (58,3%), complete elementary school (50%), family income up to a minimum age salary (50%), housewives (41,6%). Of the group of 43 health care professionals, the majority is composed by nurses (65,2%), gender feminine (78,3%), with age between 20 and 39 years (61%), brown skin (60,3%), married/stable union (52%), catholic (69,6%), with sensu post graduation (78,3%) and professional operation time between one and five years (43,3%). The elderly attribute sexuality to talking, dating, marriage, getting pregnant and having kids and the experience of sexuality to the husband, sexual intercourse, pregnancy, contraceptives and medicine. The professionals that report having hardships in face of taboos and prejudice, have little demand of attendance to execute treatment, to inform and to provide guidance. The strategies used in their practices require dialogues, talks, estimules, activities and demonstrations to provoke changes and understanding of the body. Final Considerations: the health care professionals present troubles in bringing the subject with eldely people, needing to widen the qualification in this area. The importance of awareness and information of the elderly population about their needs and anxieties is emphasized in this context. To meet these demands, the guide about the care of elderly was elaborated.

Introducción: El proceso de envejecimiento está marcado por numerosos cambios biológicos, psicológicos y socioculturales en el individuo y la sexualidad acompaña a estos cambios, siendo considerados un indicativo de la calidad de vida en los ancianos. Objetivos: Identificar en la literatura científica sobre los factores biológicos, psicosociales y culturales experimentados por los ancianos en el contexto de la sexualidad; verificar las experiencias de los ancianos relacionados con la sexualidad en el proceso de envejecimiento; verificar las estrategias utilizadas por los profesionales de la salud en el cuidado de la sexualidad de los ancianos y elaborar una guía de estrategias para los profesionales de la salud en el cuidado de la sexualidad de los ancianos. Metodología: Estudio metodológico que consiste en revisión integradora, investigación de campo y elaboración de productos. Los profesionales de la salud de la salud básica y las personas de edad avanzada del municipio de Queimadas, en Paraíba, participaron en el estudio. La recogida de datos se realizó con un cuestionario y una guía de entrevista semiestructurada. Los datos cuantitativos se procesaron a través de Microsoft Excel y los datos cualitativos, a través del programa IRAMUTEQ. Los datos subsidiaron la elaboración de una guía educativa con la ayuda del programa CorelDRAW. Resultados y discusión: De los 16 artículos seleccionados, el mayor registro de publicaciones ocurrió en el año 2018 (31.25%), en el área de geriatría y gerontología (37.5%) y la enfermería (31.2%), se observa lenguaje en portugués (62.5%) y estudios de carácter cualitativo (68.6%). El análisis del contenido lexicográfico por la clasificación jerárquica descendente, que conservó el 71.2% del material, generó cinco clases, la primera y la cuarta referidas a los ancianos y denominadas Comprensión de la Sexualidad (17.5%) y la Experiencia de la Sexualidad (25, 5%), a medida que las secunda, tercera y quinta tratan de los profesionales y denominadas Dificultades para abordar la Sexualidad (15.8%); Estrategias para abordar la Sexualidad (21%) y Definiendo la Sexualidad (20.2%). Del total de 12 ancianos, los sexos femeninos y masculinos fueron equivalentes con 50%, respectivamente, pero hubo el predominio del grupo de edad entre 60 y 69 años (58.3%), pardos (50.0%), unión casada/estable (50.0%), residiendo con el cónyuge (66.6%), católicos (58.3%), educación primaria completa (50.0%), ingreso familiar de hasta un salario mínimo (50.0%), profesión de la casa (41.6%). De los 23 profesionales de la salud, la mayoría son enfermeras (65.2%), mujeres (78.3%), con edad entre 20 y 39 años (61.0%), pardas (60.3%), casadas/en unión estable (52.0%), católicas (69.6 %), con Posgraduación Latu Sensu (78.3%) y tiempo de desempeño profesional entre uno y cinco (43.3%). Los ancianos atribuyen la sexualidad a hablar, novio, matrimonio, embarazadas y niños y experimentar la sexualidad al marido, relaciones sexuales, embarazo, condón y remedio. Los profesionales informan que experimentan dificultades frente a tabúes y prejuicios, tienen una pequeña demanda de atención para llevar a cabo un tratamiento, informar y guiar. Las estrategias utilizadas en sus prácticas requieren diálogo, conversación, estímulo, actividad, demostración para provocar cambios y comprender el cuerpo. Consideraciones finales: los profesionales de la salud presentan dificultades para abordar el tema con los ancianos, lo que requiere expandir la calificación, con el objetivo de mejorar el cuidado de la sexualidad de los ancianos. Se destaca la importancia de la conciencia de la población mayor sobre su anhelo y necesidades en este contexto. Objetivos: identificar na literatura científica sobre os fatores biológicos, psicossociais e culturais vivenciados pelos idosos no contexto da sexualidade; verificar as vivências do idoso relacionadas à sexualidade no processo de envelhecimento; verificar as estratégias utilizadas pelos profissionais de saúde no cuidado da sexualidade do idoso e elaborar um Guia de estratégias para profissionais de saúde no cuidado da sexualidade do idoso. Metodologia: estudo metodológico constituído por revisão integrativa, pesquisa de campo e elaboração do produto. Participaram do estudo os profissionais de saúde lotados em Unidades Básicas de Saúde e idosos do município de Queimadas, na Paraíba. A coleta de dados foi realizada com questionário e um roteiro de entrevista semiestruturada. Os dados quantitativos foram processados através do Microsoft Excel e os dados qualitativos através do programa Iramuteq. Os dados subsidiaram a elaboração de um guia educativo com auxílio do programa Coreldraw. Resultados e Discussão: Dos 16 artigos selecionados, observa-se o maior registro de publicações no ano de 2018 (31,25%), na área de Geriatria e Gerontologia (37,5%) e de Enfermagem (31,2%), idioma em português (62,5%) e estudos de natureza qualitativa (68,6%). A análise do conteúdo lexocográfico pela Classificação Hierárquica Descendente, que reteve 71,2% do material, gerou cinco classes, sendo a primeira e a quarta referente aos idosos e denominadas de Compreensão da sexualidade (17,5%) e Vivência da Sexualidade (25,5%), enquanto segunda, terceira e quinta trata-se dos profissionais e denominadas de Dificuldades para abordar sexualidade (15,8%); Estratégias para abordar sexualidade (21%) e Definindo a sexualidade (20,2%). Do total de 12 idosos, os sexos feminino e masculino foram equivalentes com 50% respectivamente, porém houve a predominância da faixa etária entre 60 e 69 anos (58,3%), pardos (50,0%), casados/em união estável (50,0%), residindo com o cônjuge (66,6%), católicos (58,3%), ensino fundamental completo (50,0%), renda familiar de até um salário-mínimo (50,0%), profissão do lar (41,6%). Dos 23 profissionais de saúde, a maioria é de enfermeiros (65,2%), sexo feminino (78,3%), com idade entre 20 e 39 anos (61,0%), pardos (60,3%), casados/ em união estável (52,0%), católicos (69,6%), com pós graduação latu sensu (78,3%) e tempo de atuação profissional entre um e cinco anos (43,3%). Os idosos atribuem a sexualidade a conversar, namorado, casamento, engravidar e filhos e a vivencia a sexualidade a marido, relação sexual, gravidez, preservativo e remédio. Os profissionais relatam vivenciar dificuldades diante de tabus e preconceito, possuem uma pequena demanda de atendimento para realizar tratamento, informar e orientar. As estratégias utilizadas em suas práticas requerem diálogo, conversa, estímulo, atividade, demonstração para provocar mudanças e entender o corpo. Considerações finais: os profissionais de saúde apresentam dificuldades em abordar o tema com os idosos, necessitando ampliar a qualificação, visando melhorar o cuidado da sexualidade do idoso. Enfatiza-se a importância de conscientização da população idosa acerca de seus anseios e necessidades, nesse contexto.
