A pandemia de Covid- 19 e o impacto na saúde mental de docentes

Resumo: | Introduction: Covid-19, an infectious disease caused by the coronavirus (SARS-COV-2), was declared a pandemic in March 2020, entailed a series of changes in society's routine, which included restrictive measures to combat the spread of the virus. These changes had impacts on the population's mental health, especially for teachers, having to adapt to remote teaching in the home office mode, and this, depending on some characteristics, can become a sickening environment. Objective: To point out the impact on issues involving mental health that was affected by the Covid-19 pandemic on health teachers. Method: Descriptive study, with a secondary database, which involved 267 higher education professors in the health area. Data were processed by SPSS software version 26.0 and analyzed using descriptive statistics, with measures of central and inferential tendency, using Pearson's Chi-Square and Fisher's Exact Tests. Results: Dissatisfaction about mental health was more frequent among female teachers (49.3%), aged between 18 and 25 years (48.6%), divorced/separated (53.8%), with children (47.9%), with eating disorders (54.0%), who did not practice physical activity (53.4%), with an inadequate sleep pattern (65.6%) and using psychotropic medication (58, 7%). With regard to aspects of life, those with interference in the emotional (58.4%), spiritual (58.7%), financial (52.3%), physical (50.7%) and sexual (70. 4%) were also relevant about poor mental health. Of the mentioned variables, there was statistical significance for food (p=0.015), sleep pattern (p<0.001), and emotional and sexual aspects (p<0.001). Conclusions: It is hoped that this study can contribute to the adoption of measures that minimize the impacts generated by Covid-19 on the mental health of teachers, with the creation of effective strategies aimed at raising awareness and training of professionals who make up the teaching environment higher. |

Estos cambios tuvieron impactos en la salud mental de la población, especialmente de los docentes, debiendo adaptarse a la enseñanza remota en la modalidad home office, y esto, dependiendo de algunas características, puede convertirse en un ambiente enfermizo. Objetivo: Señalar el impacto en los temas de salud mental que se vio afectado por la pandemia de Covid-19 en los docentes de la salud. Método: Estudio descriptivo, con base de datos secundaria, que involucró a 267 profesores de educación superior del área de la salud. Los datos fueron procesados por el software SPSS versión 26.0 y analizados mediante estadística descriptiva, con medidas de tendencia central e inferencial, utilizando las Pruebas Chi-Cuadrado de Pearson y Exacta de Fisher. Resultados: La insatisfacción con la salud mental fue más frecuente entre las docentes (49,3%), con edades entre 18 y 25 años (48,6%), divorciadas/separadas (53,8%), con hijos (47,9%), con trastornos alimentarios (54,0%0, que no practicaba actividad física (53,4%), con un patrón de sueño inadecuado (65,6%) y con uso de medicación psicotrópica (58,7%). Con respecto a los aspectos de la vida, aquellos con interferencia en lo emocional (58,4%), espiritual (58,7%), financiero (52,3%), físico (50,7%) y sexual (70,4%) también fueron relevantes sobre la mala salud mental . De las variables mencionadas, hubo significación estadística para alimentación (p=0,015), patrón de sueño (p<0,001) y aspectos emocionales y sexuales (p<0,001). Objetivo: Apontar o impacto para as questões que envolvem a saúde mental que foi afetada pela pandemia da Covid-19 nos docentes da área de saúde. Método: Estudo descritivo, de base de dados secundários, que envolveu 267 docentes de ensino superior da área de saúde. Os dados foram processados pelo software SPSS versão 26.0 e analisados utilizando a estatística descritiva, com medidas de tendência central e inferencial, utilizando os Testes Qui-Quadrado de Pearson, Exato de Fisher. Resultados: A insatisfação sobre a saúde mental foi mais frequente entre os docentes do sexo feminino (49,3%), com idade entre 18 e 25 anos (48,6%), divorciados/separados (53,8%), com filhos (47,9%), com prejuízos na alimentação (54,0%), que não praticavam atividade física (53,4%), com padrão de sono inadequado (65,6%) e em uso de medicação psicotrópica (58,7%). No que diz respeito aos aspectos de vida, aqueles com interferências nos domínios emocionais (58,4%), espiritual (58,7%), financeiro (52,3%), físico (50,7%) e sexual (70,4%) também foram relevantes sobre a saúde mental insatisfatória. Das variáveis mencionadas, houve significância estatística para a alimentação (p=0,015), padrão de sono (p<0,001), e os aspectos emocional e sexual (p<0,001).
