This dissertation has concluded the analysis of Marly Vasconcelos' work "Cãtygua Proençal" (1985). Comprising 20 poems that resurrect medieval literary genres, we have investigated and categorized the author's work in relation to medieval residues present in the female archetypes found within the structure of the poems. To achieve this, we conducted a comparison between Vasconcelos' work and troubadour lyricism, seeking to comprehend how the author employs typical medieval elements of Troubadourism in her verses. Our theoretical framework was based on Roberto Pontes' Theory of Residuality, situating the author's work within the literary context of the 1960s in Brazil and the 1980s in Ceará, delving into the medieval imaginary explored by the writer. We drew upon studies conducted by Duby (2011), Spina (1991), Maleval (1992), Jung (2018, 2020), among others. Employing a comparative approach, we analyzed medieval lyricism and its characteristics, with a particular focus on a recurring theme in Marly Vasconcelos' poetry: the medieval woman, her emotional and social relationships. This dissertation was justified within the academic realm due to its relevance in literary and cultural studies. The analysis of Vasconcelos' work allowed us to explore the connections between medieval literature and contemporary literary production, as well as to investigate the presence of female archetypes in the medieval context and their representation in modern poetry.
