Resumo: In this study, I investigated the relationship between Art and Technology based on the evolution of interactive systems. The research is part of a contemporary proposal, focusing on the body as a motivating agent. It was observed the production of artistic works and reflections associated with the development of mixed interfaces with biofeedback systems. This way, methods of capturing biological signals from the human body were used through sensors and real-time processing. In this regard, I interacted with computer programs with the expectation of generating images obtained with the capture of brain signals by an electroencephalogram (EEG) device. This allowed the development of a graphical brain–machine interface (BMI), capable of enabling the user to interact with virtual images through their brain signals. Therefore, the focus of this study was the development of a platform (open source JAVA based program) that enabled the user experience through the experimentation of the interactive process. In addition, was studied the neural signal types most used in these interfaces and resulted in the generation of organic visual forms based on the natural geometric figures (Cymatics patterns and fractal forms), attributing them to new conceptions, movements, and sensations. This study helped in the concepts debate and knowledge about digital art and, especially, in the development of artistic projects with a poetic emphasis on art and technology. The research was methodologically oriented by procedures anchored in the Arts Based Research, which informs a set of recent research with interdisciplinary approaches involving arts, science, and technology.
