Estudo dos efeitos da radiação ultravioleta no mosquito Aedes aegypti L.

Resumo: Most Brazilian states are infested with Aedes aegypti, which allows the transmission of several diseases. The mosquito is the vector of several important arboviruses, such as dengue, urban yellow fever, zika and chikungunya, among other diseases, being the target of major concern for public health, the main way to combat these diseases is through the control of the vector mosquito. Several studies show the emergence of mosquitoes resistance. Due to the resistance already observed, there is a search for new tools to control this possible vector. However, there is also an environmental concern, as the use of insecticides can directly affect nature. Thus, it is necessary to search for forms of control that would not leave residues in nature. The UV radiation is already used for biological control of some organims, the study of the exposure of this ultraviolet radiation shows itself as an effective and clean way to fight the Aedes aegypti mosquito. The objective of this work was to study the ovicidal, larvicidal, pupicidal and adulticidal activities of ultraviolet radiation in Ae. aegypti. As a method, for the evaluation of ovicidal activity, eggs of Ae. aegypti were exposed and evaluated in the period of 25 days, as a result, a decrease in hatchability of 95.53% of Ae. aegypti was observed. In order to perform larvicidal activity, the larvae were exposed to different periods of light and their mortality was verified in 30, 45, 60 and 180 minutes, as a result, it was possible to observe a mortality of 27.77; 45.53; 76.67 and 96.67% of the larvae, respectively. For the evaluation of pupicidal activity, the pupae of Ae. aegypti were exposed and observed in a 24h period, as a result, it was possible to observe the mortality of 86.67% of the exposed pupae. To carry out the adulticidal activity, the mosquitoes of Ae. aegypti were exposed to ultraviolet light and were observed in 24 and 48 hours, the results showed the mortality of 86.67 and 93.33% of mosquitoes, respectively. All experiments were carried out in triplicate.

All experiments were carried out in triplicate.Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior - CAPESA maioria dos estados brasileiros está infestado pelo Aedes aegypti, o que possibilita a transmissão de diversas doenças, já que o mosquito é o vetor de várias arboviroses importantes, tais como dengue, febre amarela urbana, zika e chikungunya entre outras doenças, sendo alvo de grande preocupação para a saúde pública. A principal forma de combate a essas doenças é por meio do controle do mosquito vetor. Vários estudos mostram o surgimento de resistência dos mosquitos a diversos inseticidas de todas as classes. Devido ao fenômeno de resistência já observado, existe a busca por novas ferramentas biotecnológicas para o controle desse vetor. Além disso, também existe a preocupação ambiental, em como a utilização dos inseticidas podem afetar diretamente a natureza. Desta forma, faz-se necessária a busca por formas de controle mais sustentáveis e ecologicamente corretas. Nesse sentido, a radiação UV já vem sendo utilizada para controle biológico de alguns seres vivos e pode ser considerada uma forma alternativa e limpa para o combate ao mosquito Aedes aegypti. O objetivo deste trabalho foi estudar a atividade ovicida, larvicida, pupicida e adulticida através da radiação ultravioleta no Ae. aegypti. Como método, para a avaliação da atividade ovicida, ovos de Ae. aegypti foram expostos a radiação ultravioleta e avaliados no período de 25 dias. Como resultados, foi observada a diminuição da eclodibilidade de 95,53% dos ovos de Ae. aegypti. Para avaliação da atividade larvicida, as larvas foram expostas à diferentes períodos de luminosidade e a sua mortalidade foi verificada em 30, 45, 60 e 180 minutos. Como resultados, pôde-se observar a mortalidade de 27,77; 45,53; 76,67 e 96,67% das larvas, respectivamente. Para a avaliação da atividade pupicida, as pupas de Ae. aegypti foram expostas e observadas em um período de 24h. Como resultado, pôde-se observar a mortalidade de 86,67% das pupas expostas. Para a realização da atividade adulticida, os mosquitos Ae. aegypti foram expostos à luz ultravioleta e foram observados após 24 e 48 horas os resultados demonstraram a mortalidade de 86,67 e 93,33% dos mosquitos, respectivamente. Todos os experimentos foram realizados em triplicata.
