Resumo: | The word atheism was always used with the most varied connotations possible, in its most majority, as a way to attack or diminish another individual. Over the years the word takes to a more structured philosophical meaning. On the face of it, there's a need to understand what motivates this usability and its changes. This search takes us to a French Materialist and Atheist Priest, that has the main feature the strong attack, not only to the Christianism, but to all forms of theisms. On the face of this important icon to the French illuminist philosophical scenario, we have the known Voltaire involved, in which assigns a deist thought to the priest. Contrary to the understanding of the presence of the deism in Jean Meslier, there are various authors, including a Brazilian, as well as this work. To we can do a coherent and concise analysis of this existing problem through Voltaire, we'll use here fragments, compilations and transcriptions of the testament and others annotations leave by Jean Meslier, in which wrote and hided everything until your death, in afraid of being burned. The analysis of these manuscripts makes clear that the atheism is a present thought in explicit form in priest's philosophy, to this is necessary the approach over questions involving Atheism, Agnosticism, Theism, Deism and even the Protestantism, that at the time emerged and gained power so fast. There is too the necessity of approach the atheism types to ease even more the understanding of the thoughts adopted and postures practiced by the priest. |
