O trabalhador hipertenso na atenção primária: acompanhamento e controle da pressão arterial

Hypertension is a non-communicable chronic disease with high prevalence in the adult population and is occupational activity as a risk factor. This study aims to assess the monitoring and control of hypertension worker attended by ESF, recorded in Hiperdia program in the municipalities of Campina Grande and Joao Pessoa - PB. This study is part of research carried out by Paes, and is characterized by being observational, retrospective cohort with collection of primary and secondary data. Validating the sample hypertensive workers was performed by bootstrap resampling process, which showed the representative sample taken. The control of blood pressure (BP) was assessed by comparing the means of the PA's systolic and diastolic of hypertensive grouped by monitoring time in years and the occupational activity. The results showed that the follow-up showed no influence in controlling blood pressure of hypertensive workers in the two counties. The study found no significant evidence of interference of labor in blood pressure. We observed high BP lack of proportions in both groups. It was concluded that the occupational health care with respect to control of hypertension is being overlooked. The results indicate significant problems in the treatment of hypertension of the employed population in primary care in the two counties, urging reavaliativas measures of the system as a whole, to promote more effective care as the health of hypertensive worker.
