Trabalho remoto no período pandêmico: da implantação à percepção dos técnicos-administrativos na UFPB

Resumo: After the World Health Organization declared the state of contamination caused by the Covid 19 virus as a pandemic, government authorities determined rules and conduct for the suspension of face-to-face activities in order to prevent the spread of the virus and guarantee the safety of the community. Such measures reached the educational scope and, more specifically, universities, in which both teaching and other academic and administrative activities were transferred, when possible, to the remote form. In view of this situation, the present study sought to analyze the advantages and disadvantages perceived by technical-administrative servers in remote work during the Covid-19 pandemic, through exploratory and descriptive research, with a qualitative approach. Five civil servants who work in the Dean of Administration of UFPB and who remained performing remote work throughout the period allowed by the institution were interviewed. Among the advantages, he identified that greater flexibility in carrying out activities and better time management facilitated productivity and a better quality of life for the servers. In the professional sphere, In addition to the expansion of the use of technology as a factor that favors social control, transparency and the effectiveness of public services. In addition to saving time in commuting, fuel and the possibility of concentration and a greater ease of balancing personal life with work were some of the points listed as favorable. The unfavorable ones were the different working hours, the interaction with other servers, communication failures and the lack of regulations and guiding documents resulting from the emergency insertion in the remote work modality. It is noteworthy that this observance allows for improvements in the problems and analysis of the potential for the implementation of remote work aimed at administrative personnel, given that the experience proved to be viable and economical for the public service.

Tais medidas alcançaram o âmbito educacional e, mais especificamente, as universidades, nas quais tanto o ensino, como as demais atividades acadêmicas e administrativas foram transferidas, quando possível, para a forma remota. Em face dessa conjuntura, o presente estudo buscou analisar as vantagens e desvantagens percebidas pelos servidores técnico-administrativos no trabalho remoto durante a pandemia de Covid-19. Por meio da pesquisa exploratória e descritiva, com abordagem qualitativa, foram entrevistados cinco servidores que trabalham na Pró-Reitoria de Administração da UFPB e que permaneceram executando o trabalho remoto durante todo o período permitido pela instituição. Dentre as vantagens, identificou-se que uma maior flexibilidade para o exercício das atividades e de uma melhor gestão de tempo facilitaram a produtividade e uma maior qualidade de vida para os servidores. No âmbito profissional, observou-se a ampliação da utilização da tecnologia como um fator que favorece o controle social, a transparência e a efetividade dos serviços públicos. Além da economia de tempo no deslocamento, de combustível e a possibilidade de concentração e uma maior facilidade de equilibrar a vida pessoal com o trabalho foram alguns dos pontos elencados como favoráveis.
