Remote Parameterization of Electromagnetic Flow Meters

Resumo: | The Sanitation Company of Pernambuco (COMPESA) uses hundreds of flow converters to carry out monitoring of water supply. These converters are parameterized by connecting a computer to the equipment and using specific software. Converters are mostly installed in difficult access locations, making it difficult to set up. To solve this problem we developed an electronic device, called Flowmobbi, which by connecting it to a flow converter allows to perform the configuration of this equipment through an application installed on a mobile. Thus, Flowmobbi, which has low cost, it is connected to the flow converter and the technician can configure it at a distance of up to 10m. We developed an Android application that integrates the converter with a smartphone, using Flowmobbi as a conversion medium. The Flowmobbi has been field and laboratory tested, proving to be efficient and secure in configuring the converter and making it easier to access this configuration. |

Esses conversores são parametrizados conectando um computador ao equipamento e utilizando um software específico. Os conversores são, em sua maioria, instalados em locais de difícil acesso, dificultando sua configuração. Para resolver este problema foi desenvolvido um dispositivo eletrônico, denominado Flowmobbi, que ao conectá-lo a um conversor de vazão permite realizar a configuração desse equipamento por meio de um aplicativo instalado em um celular. Assim, o Flowmobbi, que possui baixo custo, fica conectado ao conversor de vazão e o técnico consegue configura-lo a uma distância de até 10m. Foi desenvolvido um aplicativo para Android que realiza a integração do conversor com um smartphone usando o Flowmobbi como meio de conversão.
