Resumo: After the war in Paraguay, Brazilian government did not care for the rights granted to veterans, such as pensions, public jobs, land and finantial compensation. This became a serious problem for those veterans. Many faced the disorganization and lack of legal knowledge of the state bureaucracy.This article discusses the struggles of Veterans of  Ceará for war rights.

Isso se tornou um problema sério para os veteranos. A maioria deles enfrentou a desorganização e a falta de conhecimento jurídico da burocracia do Estado, que lhes negou acesso aos benefícios que lhes eram de direito.
