Resumo: During the 19th and 20th centuries, the process of immigration and colonization for the entire country was passing through a lot of prerogatives and discussions of a political, economic, moral, religious and cultural. After all, who should come to Brazil and form a body of employees intended to build a developing country? On this basis, multiple characters were gaining contours and if subverting in accordance with the differing and convergent interests. About this look, Europeans, Asians, Africans and national transformed its role as the workforce over time and space. Thus, in this article, we´ve been trying to show the multiple perspectives on the ideal immigrant for our country building .

Afinal, quem deveria vir ao Brasil e formar um corpo de trabalhadores destinados a construir um país em desenvolvimento? Sobre essa base, múltiplos personagens foram ganhando contornos e se subvertendo de acordo com os interesses divergentes e convergentes. Sobre esse olhar, europeus, asiáticos, africanos e nacionais, redimensionaram seu papel como mão-de-obra ao longo do tempo e do espaço.
