RESIST, INSIST, EXIST AND RISE: Abandoned city echoes

Resumo: In this text, I present the actions of Salve Rainha and In.surge Collectives as agents of problematizations and contraventions of colonial-modern project and the discourse of modernization in the city of Teresina (PI). While the structure of colonial-modernity established the pattern of being and living from the capitalist logic, anchored in the discourse of progress and development, the fractures of this discourse are experienced by excluded, marginalized and abandoned people in social hierarchy. From a critical discursive analysis, the interviewees' narratives revealed the action of Teresina's collectives to making visible and valuing heritage and cultural aspects of the city, deliberately abandoned by the local public administration. The contradictions of modernizing discourse comes up when, beyond the peripheries, there has been a generalized neglect of public policies in Teresina, suggesting that urban management has acquired new format with the bolsonarism’ far-right.

Si bien la estructura de la modernidad colonial estableció el patrón de ser y vivir desde la lógica capitalista, anclado en el discurso del progreso y el desarrollo, las fracturas de este discurso son vividas por sujetos excluidos, marginados y abandonados de la jerarquía social. A partir de análisis crítico del discursivo, las narrativas de los entrevistados revelaron el movimiento de los colectivos de Teresina en el sentido de visibilizar y valorar aspectos patrimoniales y culturales de la ciudad, deliberadamente abandonados por la administración pública local. Las contradicciones del discurso modernizador aparecen cuando, más allá de las periferias, ha habido un descuido generalizado de las políticas públicas en Teresina, lo que sugiere que la gestión urbana ha ganado nuevos contornos bajo la égida de la extrema derecha bolsonarista.Neste texto apresento as ações dos Coletivos Salve Rainha e In.surge enquanto problematizadoras e contraventoras do projeto colonial-moderno e do discurso da modernização na cidade de Teresina (PI). Enquanto a estrutura da colonial-modernidade estabeleceu o padrão de ser e viver a partir da lógica capitalista, ancorada no discurso do progresso e do desenvolvimento, as fraturas desse discurso são vivenciadas pelos sujeitos excluídos, marginalizados e abandonados da hierarquia social. A partir de uma análise discursiva crítica, as narrativas dos entrevistados revelaram a movimentação dos coletivos teresinenses no sentido de visibilizar e valorizar aspectos patrimoniais e culturais da cidade, deliberadamente abandonados pela gestão pública local.
