RESUMO:O objetivo do estudo era de reconhecer os locais de ocupação pretérita em área no Município de Caxias do sul, no sentido de possibilitar a ocupação da área para um condomínio (Alfaville) e o estudo efetivamente cumpriu seus objetivos. A área foi trabalhada em sua totalidade e no momento de deslocamento para o interior da mesma foi possível identificar um sítio oficina lítica que deve receber a devida proteção. Para este sítio sugerimos e conservação in loco do mesmo, pois são blocos de basalto vermelho que estão compondo no terreno uma área que não afetará a ocupação total da área do empreendimento.PALAVRAS-CHAVE: Lítico, Caxias do Sul, Oficina.ABSTRACT: The objective was to recognize the local area in bygone occupation in the city of Caxias do Sul, in order to allow the occupation of the area for a condominium (Alfaville) of study effectively fulfill their goals. The area was worked out in its entirety and at the time of transfer to the inside of it was possible to identify a lithic workshop site that should be given due protection. For this site and suggest conservation in the same spot as they are basalt stones that are red writing on the ground an area that will not affect the total occupation of the development area.KEY-WORKS: Lytic, Caxias do Sul, Workshop.
