THE “VALUES” OF TERENA CERAMIC FROM CAMPO GRANDE: A SILENT INTANGIBLE HERITAGE

Resumo: Using text and images, I look forward presenting techniques of Terena ceramic production, showing that this female activity, wrapped in physical and rituals limits, organized from family ties, when transformed into commercial activity resets the place of the potter in the social context and informs about the domestic world in relation with non-Indians. Based on the notion, including the legal field of cultural heritage related to the production of these potters, the study proposed here is also intended to bring to the discussion issues related to public policies for indigenous peoples from Mato Grosso do Sul, in general, and to urban indigenous people and their potters, particularly.
