Resumo: This academic paper is about pre-colonial archaeological research for the implementation of a transmission line effectuated by AESul – Rio Grande do Sul Energy Distribution Company Limited in the years 2007 and 2008. The area partially encompasses the Santa Cruz do Sul and Sinimbú municipalities. The Santa Cruz do Sul SE coordinates are E 360251816 e N 6713406132 and the Sinimbú coordinates are E 353180000 and N 6731809000 at Sinimbú municipality in an area stretching 21,48 km. New archaeological sites associated to the Umbu and Tupiguarani traditions were identified lying under study.

A área abrange parcialmente os municípios de Santa Cruz do Sul e Sinimbú. As coordenadas na SE de Santa Cruz do Sul são (E: 360251816 e N: 6713406132) e na SE Sinimbú, (E:353180000 e N:6731809000) no município de Sinimbú, numa extensão de 21,48 Km. Foram identificados novos sítios arqueológicos associados a Tradição Umbu e Tradição Tupiguarani.Abstract: This article is about pre-colonial archaeological research for the implementation of an Energy Transmission Line by AESul - Distribuidora Gaúcha de Energia Ltda between 2007 and 2008.
