El sitio arqueológico Panambí 3 se localiza en el sudeste de la provincia de Misiones (Argentina), sobre la margen derecha del río Uruguay. Fue excavado por Carlota Sempé en el año 1982. Su contexto representa un área residencial guaraní, ocupada entre 725 y 816 años calibrados antes del presente. En este trabajo se profundizan algunas de las propiedades de la colección obtenida, entre ellas, la tipología de las vasijas cerámicas, su estilo decorativo, y la composición de los pigmentos utilizados en la decoración. Para los artefactos líticos y óseos, se analizaron los grupos tipológicos presentes, las técnicas de confección y las rocas y soportes óseos seleccionados, incluyendo para estos últimos un análisis de microdesgaste. También se describen los artefactos ornamentales y la composición de la colección arqueofaunística. Las propiedades del contexto de Panambí 3 muestran notables similitudes con otros registros guaraníes de la región, demostrando un significativo conservadurismo en el estilo tecnológico de la cerámica, de los artefactos líticos y ornamentales. El conjunto arqueofaunístico también muestra similitudes con otras colecciones de fauna recuperadas en sitios guaraníes ubicados en el Bosque Atlántico, especialmente el énfasis en la captura de mamíferos medianos a grandes y la alta diversidad taxonómica. Los resultados obtenidos aumentan el conocimiento de los contextos guaraníes en el área, permitiendo su comparación con otros registros del Alto Río Uruguay en particular, y con otros conjuntos de la cuenca del Plata en general. Abstract:The archaeological site Panambí 3 is located in the southeast of the province of Misiones (Argentina), on the right bank of the Uruguay River. Its context represents a Guaraní residential area, occupied between 725 and 816 calibrated years BP. It was excavated by Carlota Sempé in 1982. This study delves into some of the properties of the collection obtained, including the typology of pottery, their decorative style, and the composition of the pigments used in decoration. For lithic and bone artifacts, typological groups, manufacture techniques, and selected rocks and bones were recognized, including a microanalysis analysis for the latter. The ornamental artifacts and the composition of the archaeological collection are also described. The properties of the Panambí 3 context show remarkable similarities with other Guarani records in the region, demonstrating significant conservatism in the technological style of pottery, lithic, and ornamental artifacts. Bone artifacts are scarce and show little investment in time and energy in their manufacture, as observed in other collections from Guaraní sites. The archaeofaunal collection also shows similarities with others recovered in Guaraní sites located in the Atlantic Forest, especially the emphasis on the capture of medium to large mammals and high taxonomic diversity. The results obtained increase our knowledge of the Guaraní contexts of the area, allowing their comparison with other assemblages of the Upper Uruguay River in particular, and with others in the La Plata basin in general.
