Resumo: Resumen: Se repasa la historia de los últimos 30 años de la disciplina en el ámbito de las plantas domesticadas reconocidas en el registro arqueológico, mencionando los temas que han despertado la curiosidad de los investigadores  y sintetizando los resultados obtenidos acerca de los principales grupos de plantas utilizadas en el pasado prehispánico de la región. Abstract: The history of the last 30 years of the discipline related to domesticates found in the archaeological record is reviewed, mentioning the issues that have convened researchers’ interests and synthesizing the results on the major groups of plants used in the prehispanic past of the region.
