Resumo: This article presents the results of the technological analysis of the lithic assemblage associated with southern proto-Jê ceramics from Ilha das Pedras shell mound, located in the coast of the state of Paraná, southern Brazil. The aims were to identify the techniques employed in knapping different raw materials and to identify which activities involved in the production of the lithic artifacts were performed at the Ilha das Pedras shell mound. Based on this information, we discuss the characteristics of unipolar and bipolar milky quartz flakes and compare the sample from the lithic assemblage of Ilha das Pedras with the lithic industries of other sambaquis, associated or not with ceramics.

O objetivo foi identificar as técnicas utilizadas para lascamento de diferentes matérias primas e a intensidade e as atividades de redução envolvidas na produção de artefatos líticos.
