Resumo: The scientific and research spirit of the ancient Greeks could not resist to investigate the causes of the flooding of the Nile River. Many of them just remarked its overflow, and others just speculated about its causes. Sometimes, from the point of view of the Egyptology, we forget how interesting are the classical sources to develop a multidisciplinary approach as well as a better understanding of those times.
