Contribuíram com a pesquisa, licenciandos e docentes de um curso de Química-Licenciatura e professores supervisores do subprojeto PIBID-Química que atuam em uma escola estadual na cidade de Caruaru-PE, além de analise documental no PPC do curso de Química-Licenciatura. Quanto à natureza foi escolhida para desenvolvê-la a de métodos mistos, utilizando como estratégia a triangulação concomitante dos dados e a análise do conteúdo. Durante as investigações, observou-se que o Projeto Pedagógico do Curso defende uma metodologia que promove a relação entre a teoria e prática no processo de formação profissional docente, mas, no que se refere à organização e desenvolvimento dos Componentes Curriculares de laboratórios de Química, mostrou certa fragilidade nestas relações como práxis comunicativa para apropriação do conhecimento químico. Diante da estrutura e do suporte teórico apresentado na estrutura curricular do curso, os licenciandos formados apresentam um perfil de professor com habilidades e competências para desenvolver atividades experimentais. No que se refere aos docentes da IES, apesar de atribuírem um caráter importante e indispensável a essas atividades, geralmente, desenvolvem e organizam suas aulas de laboratório, com uma predominância do ensino tradicional. Por outro lado, considerando os resultados dos benefícios das atividades práticas experimentais na Formação Continuada de Professores da Educação Básica relatadas pelos professores supervisores do PIBID, constatamos que o programa tem criado oportunidades concretas para este debate proporcionando mudanças na prática docente.FACEPEThe research described here developed an investigation based on teacher training focused on the role that is attributed to experimentation in initial and continuing teacher training. Researchers, graduates and professors of a Chemistry course and supervisors of the PIBID-Química subproject who work in a state school in the city of Caruaru - Pernambuco, as well as documentary analysis in the PPC of the chemistry course contributed to the research. As for nature, it was chosen to develop it of mixed methods, using as strategies the concomitant triangulation of the data and the analysis of the content. During the investigation, it was observed that the Pedagogical Project of the Course defends a methodology that promotes the relation between theory and practice in the process of professional teacher training, but, as regards the organization and development of the Curricular Components of chemistry laboratories, showed a certain fragility in these relations as communicative praxis for the appropriation of chemical knowledge. Faced with the structure and theoretical support presented in the curricular structure of the course, the graduates present a profile of teacher with skills and competences to develop experimental activities. Regarding IES teachers, although they attribute an important and indispensable character to these activities, they usually develop and organize their laboratory classes, with a predominance of traditional teaching.
