Para tanto, são apresentados inicialmente o aporte teórico que norteou essa pesquisa, com discussões sobre o turismo e lazer, contemplando a importância de cada temática bem como suas diferenças e semelhanças. As intervenções urbanas também compõem as discussões teóricas, identificando e demonstrando as características de cada uma delas. A regeneração urbana é discutida identificando os seus efeitos nos centros históricos. O Bairro do Recife é contemplado demonstrando suas características e importância local. O Porto Digital, por sua vez, é abordado na pesquisa mostrando seu contexto histórico e a sua territorialidade. Dessa forma, na tentativa de desvelar os impactos no turismo e lazer do Bairro do Recife a partir da influência do Porto Digital, a presente pesquisa adotou o paradigma interpretativista, portanto, os objetos estudados não se reduzem a variáveis, mas, são estudados a partir de suas complexidades em seu contexto diário, caracterizando assim, como uma pesquisa qualitativa. Para a coleta dos dados foi utilizado dados primários e secundários. Com o intuito de compreender o campo, uma etapa de análise documental foi realizada com documentos disponibilizados pelo site do Porto Digital. No tocante ao acesso do campo, foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas cujas transcrições foram analisadas por meio da análise categorial de conteúdo. Por fim, foi realizada ainda uma análise espacial e foi desenvolvido um mapa temático com informações sobre as empresas do Porto Digital e dos serviços e equipamentos turísticos do Bairro do Recife. Como resultado da pesquisa, identificou-se que as mudanças do Bairro do Recife a partir da atuação do Porto Digital ocasionaram uma conversão do uso portuário, para o uso de serviços e novas funções empresariais. Essa conversãocontribuiu positivamente para o desenvolvimento das atividades de turismo e lazer no local. Outro aspecto identificado foi a ação estratégica do Porto Digital em favorecer os serviços, equipamentos turísticos, a cultura e a arquitetura do bairro, reforçando assim as vantagens competitivas em se instalar no bairro. Foi observado que o Porto Digital desenvolve ações de lazer estrategicamente, retendo as pessoas que circulam pelo bairro. Portanto, apesar de as ações do Porto Digital não serem destinadas ao turismo local, essa atividade consegue se desenvolver a partir das ações que contribuem para atração de empresas e infraestrutura urbana. Portanto, oestudo se limita ao Bairro do Recife, por isso, sugere-se aos estudos futurosampliar essa pesquisa para outros estados brasileiros que possuem parques tecnológicos com ointuito de analisar como eles estão influenciando o turismo local, ressaltando assim as semelhanças e particularidades de cada localidade.CAPESThis study seeks to analyze the impacts on tourism and leisure practices in Bairro do Recife based on the influence of Porto Digital. For this purpose, the theoretical contribution that guided this research is initially presented, with discussions on tourism and leisure, contemplating the importance of each theme, as well as their differences and similarities. Urban interventions are also part of theoretical discussions, identifying and demonstrating the characteristics of each one. Urban regeneration is discussed by identifying its effects on historic centers. The Bairro do Recife is contemplated showing its characteristics and local importance. Porto Digital, in turn, is approached in the research showing its historical context and its territoriality. Thus, in an attempt to unveil the impacts on tourism and leisure in Bairro do Recife from the influence of Porto Digital, the present research adopted the interpretive paradigm, therefore, the objects studied are not reduced to variables, but are studied from its complexities. in its everyday context, characterizing itself as a qualitative research. For data collection, primary and secondary data were used. To understand the field, a stage of documentary analysis was carried out with documents available on the Porto Digital website. As for access to the field, semi- structured interviews were carried out, whose transcripts were analyzed through the analysis of categorical content. Finally, a spatial analysis was carried out and a thematic map was elaborated with information about Porto Digital companies and the tourist services and equipment in Bairro do Recife. As a result of the research, it was identified that the changes that occurred in Bairro do Recife from Porto Digital led to the conversion of the use of the port(,) to the use of services and new business functions. This conversion contributed positively tothe development of tourist and leisure activities in the area. Another aspect identified was the strategic action of Porto Digital in favoring the services, tourist equipment, culture and architecture of the neighborhood, thus reinforcing the competitive advantages of settling in the neighborhood. It was observed that Porto Digital strategically develops leisure activities, retaining the people who circulate in the neighborhood. Thus, although Porto Digital's actions are not geared towards local tourism, this activity manages to develop based on actions that contribute to the attraction of companies and urban infrastructure. Therefore, the study is limited to Bairro do Recife, so it is suggested that future studies expand this research to other Brazilian states that have technology parks in order to analyze how they are influencing local tourism, thus highlighting the similarities and particularities of each locality.Key words:Tourism and leisure.
