Contudo, até recentemente, eles passavam como representantes do sujeito universal, não marcados por atributos de gênero. Dessa forma, foram ocupando lugares simbólicos nas relações sociais e institucionais que, reforçados como uma condição do ser homem, produziam sujeitos e segregavam outros de acordo com o que era entendido como estando dentro ou fora da norma. Atualmente, estudiosos/as como Judith Butler (2013) propõem que ainda que ajamos como se “ser homem” ou “ser mulher” fosse uma realidade interna, trata-se de um fenômeno produzido e reproduzido nas relações sociais todo o tempo. Visando promover um diálogo entre essa perspectiva e a temática homens e masculinidades, analisamos e refletimos criticamente acerca dos modos de subjetivação masculinos através de entrevistas narrativas com cinco homens de classes populares, residentes no bairro da Várzea da cidade de Recife/PE. As análises foram pautadas na proposta de análise do discurso de Michel Pêcheux (2008), baseada na interlocução entre sujeito, linguagem e história, tomando como objeto o próprio discurso, e também em algumas inspirações psicanalíticas de orientação lacaniana. Diante dos resultados, pudemos sentir que as masculinidades encontram-se e desencontram-se na construção de subjetividades singulares, ampliando a arena de possibilidades. O modelo hegemônico de masculinidade, portanto, reapareceu em todas as narrativas, mas reinventou-se e mesclou-se, permitindo o encontro com infinitas masculinidades possíveis.CAPESOver the past few years, studies on masculinities have acquired greater visibility in Brazilian scientific literature and men now have higher incidence on researches. However, until recently, they spent as representatives of the universal subject, not marked by gender attributes. Thus, they were occupying symbolic positions in social and institutional relationships that strengthened as a condition of being human, subject produced and segregated others according to what was supposed to be understood as "normal" or "abnormal". Currently, scholars such as Judith Butler, propose that we act as if "being a man" or "being a woman" was an internal reality, but this is a phenomenon produced and reproduced all the time. To promote a dialogue between this perspective and thematic men and masculinity, we analyze and reflect critically about the male modes of subjectivity through poor men living reports in the Várzea neighborhood of the city of Recife / PE. The survey included narrative interviews with five men in Recife / PE. The analyzes were guided by the Pêcheux’ speech analysis (2008) based on dialogue between subject, language and history, taking as object the discourse itself, and also in some psychoanalytic inspirations of Lacanian orientation. With the results we have achieved that masculinities are and clash in the construction of individual subjectivities, expanding the arena of possibilities.
