Hiring an external maintenance service provider is often a better option in terms of costs, efficiency and effectiveness. This work presents three formulations of maintenance service contracts considering imperfect repairs and Stackelberg competition. The first presented model combines a generalized renewal process (GRP) with a queueing system, allowing for interaction between equipment manufacturer (maintenance service provider) and multiple customers. The second proposed formulation consists of a competing risks (CR) model in which the device is subjected to degraded failures and critical failures, which are repaired respectively by preventive maintenance (PM) and corrective maintenance (CM) actions. Both PM and CM consist of imperfect repairs, and are considered to have different repair effectiveness. The third model consists of a joined approach, based on the first two, where a CR model with imperfect repairs is implemented in a queueing system. For all three proposed models, a set of service contracts is enunciated, and the strategies for manufacturer and customer(s) are analyzed, leading to the development of optimal strategies for these agents. The application of game theory allows for a solution that takes into account the behavior of each agent, instead of just accounting for their expected profits. Real failure data from an angiography device in a Brazilian hospital is used as an application example for the proposed models. Sensitivity analyses are made for the three models. In the application examples, it was possible to conclude that the risk-averse behavior of customers makes them more favorable to purchasing warranty.FACEPECom a rápida evolução da tecnologia de equipamentos industriais, a manutenção de equipamentos pela própria empresa tornou-se uma prática cara e ineficiente. Contratar um prestador de serviços de manutenção externo é muitas vezes uma opção melhor em termos de custos, eficiência e eficácia. Este trabalho apresenta duas formulações de contratos de serviços de manutenção considerando reparos imperfeitos e competição de Stackelberg. O primeiro modelo apresentado combina um processo de renovação generalizado (GRP) com um sistema de filas, permitindo a interação entre o fabricante do equipamento (prestador de serviços de manutenção) e vários clientes. A segunda formulação proposta consiste em um modelo de riscos competitivos (CR), no qual o dispositivo é submetido a falhas degradadas e falhas críticas, que são reparadas, respectivamente, por ações de manutenção preventiva (PM) e manutenção corretiva (CM). PM e CM consistem em reparos imperfeitos e são considerados como tendo eficácias de reparo diferentes. O terceiro modelo consiste em uma abordagem conjunta, baseada nos dois primeiros, em que um modelo CR com reparos imperfeitos é implementado em um modelo de filas. Para os três modelos propostos, um conjunto de contratos de serviço é enunciado, e as estratégias para fabricante e cliente(s) são analisadas, levando ao desenvolvimento de estratégias ótimas para esses agentes. A aplicação de teoria dos jogos permite uma solução que leva em conta o comportamento de cada agente, em vez de apenas contabilizar seus lucros esperados. Dados reais de falha de um dispositivo de angiografia em um hospital brasileiro são usados como um exemplo de aplicação para os três modelos propostos. Análises de sensibilidade são realizadas para os modelos.
