Ao ingressarem na hierarquia religiosa do IOAO os fiéis tem seus “dons” identificados pelo jogo de búzios e, a partir daí, são encaminhados aos rituais específicos que contribuem para a atualização de suas características sagradas. Da identificação do “dom” ou pelo “dom”, a pessoa começa a participar dos rituais de forma específica e dessa forma de participação deriva o reconhecimento da comunidade sobre a pessoa. De acordo com o que foi percebido em trabalho de campo realizado entre 2013 e 2015, a iniciação como ritual cumpre apenas com uma etapa da constituição da pessoa e não se restringe ao ritual de saída de yawô (para os “rodantes”) ou “confirmação” (no caso dos ogãs). A iniciação ritual precisa ser ampliada/completada, porém nunca substituída, pela participação do fiel nos diversos rituais do terreiro. Assim sendo, destacamos neste artigo a trama que existe entre o “dom” e a atualização dos “dons” pessoais pelos rituais de iniciação e pela participação que os estabelecem com/nos rituais do terreiro. A pessoa como entendemos então, é um compósito de forças contidas em objetos, sons, lugares, performances/modos de fazer, atualizado em eventos e rituais, nos quais a participação lhes confere o reconhecimento necessário para reforçar seus “dons” individuais. Concluímos que a pessoa ogã no IOAO é constituída/instituída misticamente pelos dons (impostos pelos orixás), e ritualmente – e por isso socialmente – pela iniciação (conduzidos pelos orixás e pelo terreiro como um todo) e participação nos e com os rituais dirigidos ao seu orixá individual e, ainda, demais rituais do terreiro.The Xangô, religion of african matrix presents in Pernambuco, is a religion that “constitute” people in a long process called initiation, as ocur in Ilê Obá Aganjú Okoloyá (IOAO), terreiro (house of cult) of nagô tradition of Recife and empiric field of this research. The folowers when get into the IOAO’s religious hierarquic have their “gifts” identified by the jogo de búzios (oraculo) and after that they are take to especific rituals that contribut to the atualization of their sacred caracteristcs. From the identification of the “gift” or by the “gift”, a person begins to participate of the rituals in an especific way and from this way of participation derive the recognition of the community about the person. According to what was noticed in the field work realized between 2013 and 2015,the initiation as ritual fulfils just with one stage of the person’s constitution and does not restrict itself to the ritual of the saída de yawô (for the “rodantes”) or “confirmação” (in the ogãs’ case). The ritual initiation needs to be completed, but never substituted, by the folower participation in the many rituals in the terreiro. Thus, we highlight in this dissertation the plot that exists between the "gift" and the updating of the personal "gifts" for the initiation rituals and the participation that establish them with / in the rituals of the terreiro. The person as we now understand it is a composite of forces contained in objects, sounds, places, performances / ways of doing, actualized in events and rituals in which participation gives them the recognition necessary to reinforce their individual "gifts."
