Neoliberalism and education in the performance of think tanks

Resumo: | This work presents the results of a theoretical study and literature review on the organization and dissemination of think tanks operating internationally and their role in directing the direction of Brazilian public education. To this end, we defined the following research objectives: to situate neoliberal policies within the scope of adjustment measures for the structural crisis of capital; to characterize the expansion movement of think tanks; and understand the role of think tanks in the process of propagating neoliberal thinking and its impacts on the educational field. Although there is no established consensus on the definition of what these institutions are, think tanks have been presented as the institutions that most influence the global political scenario, whether internally or externally. These are quite complex, organized and comprehensive structures, coming to be recognized as tanks of ideas. With regard to the theoretical-methodological assumptions used to carry out this work, it is important to emphasize that we adopted Historical and Dialectical Materialism as a basis, as we understand that this perspective provides us with the necessary foundations to understand the relationship between capital and work, as well as its reverberations. in the educational system. |

Para ello, definimos los siguientes objetivos de investigación: situar las políticas neoliberales en el ámbito de las medidas de ajuste a la crisis estructural del capital; caracterizar el movimiento de expansión de los think tanks; y comprender el papel de los think tanks en el proceso de propagación del pensamiento neoliberal y sus impactos en el campo educativo. Si bien no existe un consenso establecido sobre la definición de lo que son estas instituciones, los think tanks se han presentado como las instituciones que más inciden en el escenario político mundial, ya sea interna o externamente. Estas son estructuras bastante complejas, organizadas y comprensivas, llegando a ser reconocidas como tanques de ideas. En cuanto a los presupuestos teórico-metodológicos utilizados para la realización de este trabajo, es importante destacar que adoptamos como base el Materialismo Histórico y Dialéctico, pues entendemos que esta perspectiva nos brinda los fundamentos necesarios para comprender la relación entre capital y trabajo, así como sus repercusiones en el sistema educativo.Este trabalho apresenta os resultados de um estudo teórico e revisão de literatura sobre a organização e disseminação de think tanks com atuação em âmbito internacional e sua atuação no direcionamento dos rumos da educação pública brasileira. Para tanto, definimos os seguintes objetivos de pesquisa: situar as políticas neoliberais no âmbito das medidas de ajustes da crise estrutural do capital; caracterizar o movimento de expansão de think tanks; e compreender a atuação dos think tanks no processo de propagação do pensamento neoliberal e seus impactos no campo educacional. Apesar de não haver um consenso estabelecido sobre a definição do que vêm a ser essas instituições, os think tanks têm sido apresentados como as instituições que mais exercem influência no cenário político global, seja em nível interno ou externo. Trata-se de estruturas bastante complexas, organizadas e abrangentes, chegando a ser reconhecidas como tanques de ideias.
