Resumo: | Inclusion can only occur effectively from the change in attitudes and thoughts of the groups that make up society, such as the family group, considered one of the oldest social spheres of integration and support for people with disabilities. The objective of this work was to examine the perceptions of families about the life trajectory of the disabled student at the Federal University of Viçosa - UFV, Campus Viçosa/MG, with emphasis on their process of access and permanence in the university environment. Methodologically, the research was qualitative in nature, using the oral history technique as a data collection instrument, through narrative interviews, combined with a bibliographic survey. The data were analyzed by the software IRaMuTeQ (Interface de R pour les Analyses Multidimensionnelles de Textes et de Questionnaires), and subsequently treated by content analysis. The results, through the analysis of the word cloud, identified five categories of analysis, namely: difficulty, UFV, achieve, family and disability. These were considered determinants in the life trajectory of the interviewees, according to the perception of the family network. It was possible to perceive that, in a general context, the biggest difficulty that the family encounters is the financial one and, in the scope of the university, the difficulty consists in the displacement, since the accessibility is not yet an ideal condition. In the view of the families, it is recognized that the disabled live with numerous problems depending on the type of disability, although they have managed to adapt, mainly with family support. |
