Resumo: O progresso da invasão por espécies exóticas, diferentemente da maioria dos problemas ambientais que tende a se atenuar, só avança se multiplicando, causando cada vez mais impactos para o local invadido como a diminuição da biodiversidade, desequilíbrio da ciclagem de nutrientes, diminuição da disponibilidade de polinizadores, entre outros. No Brasil, entre as espécies arbóreas já identificadas como invasoras está a espécie australiana Pittosporum undulatum Vent., onde o avanço da sua contaminação biológica segue crescendo, assim como cresce a necessidade de compreender e controlar a espécie com urgência. Diante disso, o presente trabalho tem como objetivo identificar a estrutura de uma população de Pittosporum undulatum Vent. em um fragmento de floresta secundária no extremo sul do Brasil.
