A trajetória docente de uma alfabetizadora do Colégio São José em Pelotas/RS nas décadas de 1940 a 1980

Resumo: The present work a is historical research with a biographical approach to investigate the life of a literacy - Sister Maria Luisa - during the time she served on the St. Joseph College in Pelotas / RS. We sought to analyze her memories through interviews and documents that describe her teaching method developed and how were her lessons from the acquisition of literacy to the reading and writing by students. For this end, we considered the historical context, social and cultural relations that developed between the teacher and students, linking them to their teachers during the 1940s until 1980. This research has also aimed to analyze why the literacy felt the need to create a proprietary method to develop skills in teaching reading and writing in the classroom. For historians of education, biographical research are very important because they tend to reveal the school contexts, teachers' views on their actions and contribute to the processes of teacher training. In this research, the main source used are the narratives of life and work of Sister Maria Luisa. I conducted four interviews with the teacher, in which she recalled the facts of his 42 years of literacy. In addition, interviews were made with three former students of the educator and an interview with a professional colleague who used his method to teach literacy. Another important source, however, were the personal files. Exploiting document is considered extremely valuable in historical research, behold, it can be found through subsidies for interpreting the facts more accurately. In this research, we found something very valuable: a primer "Castle of Knowledge", representing the method created by the teacher to conduct a literacy model that held the attention and stimulate students in learning to read and write. Through the narratives collected, I conclude that the pedagogical method used by Sister Maria Luisa in the classroom is the mark of her career, unforgettable for all who were associated with her. With the firm intention of uncovering the past and make public the personality and the work of a recognized teacher in the school community where she worked, which is sought to find out about their memories. May, from this work, shape new ways of interpreting the narratives.O presente trabalho trata-se de uma pesquisa histórica de características biográficas, com o enfoque na investigação da atuação de uma alfabetizadora - Irmã Luísa Maria - durante o tempo em que trabalhou no Colégio São José em Pelotas/RS. Buscou-se analisar suas memórias através de entrevistas e documentos que descrevem o seu método de ensino e a forma como eram desenvolvidas suas aulas, desde o período preparatório da alfabetização até a aquisição da leitura e da escrita por parte dos alunos. Para tanto, foi considerado o contexto histórico, social e cultural em que se desenvolveram as relações entre a professora e os alunos, relacionando-os ao seu fazer docente durante as décadas de 1940 até 1980. Esta pesquisa tem, ainda, o objetivo de analisar a razão pela qual a alfabetizadora sentiu a necessidade de criar um método próprio para desenvolver o ensino da leitura e da escrita em sala de aula. Para os historiadores da educação, as pesquisas biográficas são muito importantes, pois elas tendem a revelar os contextos escolares, a visão dos professores sobre a sua atuação e contribuem para os processos de formação de professores. Nesta pesquisa, a principal fonte utilizada são as narrativas de vida e de atuação da Irmã Luísa Maria. Foram realizadas quatro entrevistas com a educadora, nas quais ela reconstruiu fatos de seus 42 anos de alfabetização. Além disso, também foram feitas três entrevistas com ex-alunas da educadora e uma entrevista com uma colega que utilizou o seu método para alfabetizar. Outra importante fonte foram os arquivos pessoais. A exploração documental é considerada de extrema valia nas pesquisas históricas, pois através dela são encontrados subsídios que permitem interpretar os fatos com maior exatidão. Nessa busca, encontrou-se algo muito valioso: a cartilha Castelo do Saber , representação do método criado pela educadora para realizar um modelo de alfabetização que prendesse a atenção e estimulasse os alunos na aprendizagem da leitura e da escrita. Através das narrativas colhidas, se pode concluir que a prática pedagógica e o método utilizado por essa alfabetizadora em sala de aula constituíram a marca de sua trajetória profissional, inesquecível para todos que com ela se relacionaram. Com a firme intenção de desvendar o passado e tornar públicos a personalidade e o trabalho de uma professora reconhecida na comunidade escolar onde atuou, é que se buscou pesquisar sobre suas memórias. Salienta-se que esta é uma visão das fontes.
