Resumo: O presente trabalho tem por objetivo demonstrar serem as Histórias em Quadrinhos, fruto de um contexto interpretado. Nesse sentido, visamos promover o entendimento de que toda produção advinda dessa área, consiste em uma representação da época em que esta fora concebida. Como objeto para a verificação de nosso insight, buscamos a produção das Histórias em Quadrinhos do Capitão América da década de 1940 (a saber, de 1941 à 1945), a fim de evidenciar a personagem como fruto de um contexto interpretado, munido pelos valores (singulares) da nação estadunidense, isto é, de seu lugar de origem. Algo que, nos permite entender ser ele a representação de sua época.
