Resumo: | This essay aims to reflect, theoretical and analytically, about some of the Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s statements, collating it with three cartoons, understood as response-enunciation, to explain the government’s necropolitics in the pandemic state caused by COVID-19, due to the social relevance of sanitary and public policy actions that come from such acts of speech. Achille Mbembe’s notion of necropower and Mikhail Bakhtin and Bakhtin Circle’s notions of enunciation, act, ideology and responsivity compose this work’s theoretical basis. The dialogic-dialectic interpretative methodology, defined by the collating of data, composes this qualitative research. The corpus was selected by theme, time-lapse, quantitative and gender methods. This reflection is justified by the social importance of the theme, on the matter of thinking sociopolitical practices in Brazil, marked in and by the language. The results show how the acts of speech semiotize the acts of doing and how much the disrespect and the lack of effective inclusive public policies from the Head of State reverberate the voice of a certain group and confirm, with their eugenic necropolitics, the social inequality, especially, in extreme times like the ones we’ve been living in. |
