Data analysis was performed using the Prais-Winsten generalized linear analysis model with a 5% statistical significance level. Results: there was higher mortality due to external causes in male adults. A growing trend of homicides was observed for the male gender, with an annual percent change of 3.13% (p=0.002); for both genders, the annual percent change was 2.92% (p=0.003).Conclusion: these findings indicate the emerging need to fight against and prevent acts of violence. The importance of Nursing professionals in social mobilization and participation in the reformulation of public policies to combat violence is emphasized. |
