Gender, Species and Essence in Husserl's Phenomenology and St. Thomas Aquinas' Theory of Knowledge: Necessary Understandings of Metaphysical Realism for a Transcendental Phenomenology

Resumo: The present essay took as its hypothesis the premise that the Metaphysical Neutrality proposed by Husserl since his initial studies needs to be recognized with methodological and analytical limits. In order to overcome this limit, a recovery of the Metaphysics and Theory of Knowledge of St. Thomas Aquinas was carried out, interpreting this theory through a Moderate and Direct Realism. As a conclusion, it was possible to identify that there is a very important similarity between both theories, as well as that for phenomenological investigations to achieve their primary cognitive intent, care must be taken not to annihilate moderate realist metaphysics.

Para superar este límite, se realizó una recuperación de la Metafísica y Teoría del Conocimiento de Santo Tomás de Aquino, interpretando esta teoría a través de un Realismo Moderado y Directo. Como conclusión, se pudo identificar que existe una similitud muy importante entre ambas teorías, así como que para que las investigaciones fenomenológicas logren su intención cognoscitiva primaria, se debe tener cuidado de no aniquilar la metafísica realista moderada.O presente ensaio tomou como hipótese de ensaio a premissa de que a Neutralidade Metafísica proposta por Husserl desde seus estudos iniciais precisa ser reconhecida com limites metodológicos e analíticos. Para a superação deste limite, realizou-se um resgate da Metafísica e Teoria do Conhecimento de Santo Tomás de Aquino, interpretando esta teoria através de um Realismo Moderado e Direto.
