Resumo: the measures of sensitivity of the partial redundancy of the observation and of the precision of the parameters are presented. The concepts of internal and external reliability are shown. Some implications and applicabilities are also discussed. The possibility of these measures supply resources for the optimization of geodetic networks is presented by means of an application. The results lead to a safe decision concerning cast out observations, which do not cooperate with parameter precision. Neste trabalho, apresentam-se os conceitos fundamentais e as formulações matemáticas sobre a medida de sensibilidade da redundância parcial da observação e sua influência na precisão dos parâmetros. Colocam-se os conceitos de confiabilidade interna e externa e discutem-se brevemente as suas implicações e aplicabilidade no controle de qualidade dos parâmetros ajustados. Apresentam-se ainda, dois exemplos de como essas grandezas podem fornecer subsídios à otimização de redes geodésicas. Os resultados permitem a tomada de decisão mais segura no descarte ou melhoramento de observações que não cooperam com a precisão dos parâmetros.
