The autobiographic narrative of refugees as object of research in Law and Literature in Brazil: absences and perspectives

This article intends to collaborate with the intellectual effort in the field of Law and Literature in Brazil, undertaking diagnostic and propositional research related to the insertion of the theme of migration, especially the issue of refuge, as an object of research in this field. From a diagnostic perspective, a survey is carried out in the databases of the main scientific Brazilian periodicals on Law and Literature, in order to identify scientific research involving the triad of law-literature-migrations dealing, in particular, with the refuge issue. Using an inductive method, with bibliographical and documentary research technique, the article demonstrates that the issue of migrants and of the literature on migrations have not been a relevant object of research in Law and Literature in Brazil. From the propositional perspective, the article suggests that the legal and literary material arising from the migratory experience justifies greater research efforts in Law and Literature in Brazil to problematize international forced displacements, especially from the autobiographical narratives of refugees.
