A PRESENÇA DOS MIGRANTES HAITIANOS EM TERRITÓRIO MARINGAENSE

Resumo: | The agreement between Brazil and Haiti, granting humanitarian visas, has brought to Brazil a new migratory chain. Due to that, in 2010, the first Haitians arrived in the municipality of Maringá, Paraná. This flow created paths to other migratory groups as the Dominicans, the Senegalese and the Bengalis. In 2014, there were about 4000 Haitians living in the metropolitan region the city of Maringa. However, in 2016 because the economic crisis in the local and national scale, a massive number of Haitians have migrated from Maringa mainly to Chile. These people were mobilized to work especially in meat plants of the region, and other few people in other large industries, commerce and services sector. The purpose of this text is to discuss the presence of Haitian migrants in the metropolitan region the city of Maringa, how they have been inserted and the obstacles they have encountered as well as identifying the barriers they face in order to integrate the society. On the scenario of human mobility, we will make reference of Jean Paul Gaudemar (1977), who studied the production and circulation of the labour force; also taking account of Marx and Foucault. Gaudemar draws a parallel between the power in the microspheres and the dominance of the capitalism on the society.Keywords: Migrants; Haitians; City of Maringa. |

O acordo entre Brasil e Haiti, concedendo vistos humanitários, trouxe para o Brasil uma nova corrente migratória. Assim, em 2010, chegaram os primeiros haitianos no município de Maringá e arredores, no Paraná. Esse fluxo abriu caminhos para outros grupos migratórios como os dominicanos, os senegaleses e os bengaleses. Em 2014, já eram 4 mil haitianos residindo na Região Metropolitana de Maringá. No ano de 2016, com a mudança econômica local e nacional, parte expressiva dos haitianos de Maringá migraram principalmente para o Chile. Esses homens foram mobilizados para trabalhar, sobretudo, nos frigoríficos da região, e em menor participação, em outras indústrias de grande porte, além do setor de comércio e serviços. Nosso propósito, neste texto, é discutir a presença dos migrantes haitianos na região metropolitana de Maringá, suas formas de inserção, e os obstáculos por eles encontrados, identificando as barreiras para sua integração na sociedade.
