Com a pandemia de 2020, a mobilidade dos imigrantes foi afetada em razão do fechamento das fronteiras. A vulnerabilidade também se acentuou em decorrência da ausência de proteção estatal aos venezuelanos. Esse artigo propõe identificar qual foi o tratamento jurídico dado aos imigrantes venezuelanos no Brasil durante a crise sanitária, utilizando como referência dois documentos publicados pela Comissão Interamericana de Direitos Humanos e Organização Internacional para Migrações. Nesse sentido, busca-se analisar se as políticas adotadas pelo país seguem as recomendações internacionais e em que medida promovem ou não os direitos humanos dos imigrantes venezuelanos.Abstract: Venezuelan immigration is the biggest refugee crisis ever seen in the region of the Americas. With the 2020 pandemic, immigrant mobility was affected due to the closure of borders. The vulnerability was also heightened by the lack of state protection for Venezuelans. This article proposes to identify the legal treatment given to Venezuelan immigrants in Brazil during the health crisis, using as reference two documents published by the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and the International Organization for Migration.
