Defesa : Curitiba, 28/03/2019Inclui referências: p.113-122Resumo: Esta dissertação teve como objetivos perceber ações para a instrução e a educação de mulheres curitibanas, entre 1917 e 1931, com vistas à melhoria das condições de saúde das pessoas, notadamente de mães e filhos, principalmente ao que tangia a práticas relacionadas à puericultura, assim como as possibilidades da formação das Visitadoras Sanitárias no estado do Paraná. No final dos anos 1910, iniciativas governamentais se intensificaram para ampliar o atendimento em saúde da população com a perspectiva de forjar um povo forte para uma nação moderna. Nesse contexto também ações filantrópicas foram fundamentais. No Paraná, considerando este movimento, a filantropia feminina, através da Cruz Vermelha Paranaense, atuou em prol da formação e educação de mulheres em saúde, com objetivo primordial de divulgar noções de puericultura, higiene e profilaxia das doenças, num período em que a educação sanitária ganhou evidência nacional, destaque para a Escola de Mãezinhas. Paralelamente, iniciativas estatais de formação de mulheres curitibanas para atuação em saúde foram estratégicas, objetivando a circulação de preceitos sanitários entre a população e, entre essas iniciativas destaco os cursos para visitadoras e educadoras sanitárias e também o de obstetrícia para parteiras. Foi possível perceber a estreita relação entre saúde e educação, realizadas pelas mulheres, as quais contribuíram significativamente para a educação sanitária de outras mulheres, mães ou futuras mães. O recorte temporal deste trabalho foi balizado inicialmente pelo movimento de organização, por mulheres, da Cruz Vermelha Brasileira, filial Paraná (chamada de Cruz Vermelha Paranaense), em 1917, mesmo ano da criação dos cursos de Primeiros Socorros para Enfermeiras Voluntárias pela instituição, e o ano final, 1931, marcou a extinção da Escola Prática de Enfermeiras, com a criação do Curso de Enfermagem Obstétrica da Faculdade de Medicina do Paraná, organizado a partir dos novos ditames educacionais para a formação mais especializada em saúde pública. A referência teórica primordial para essa dissertação foram as considerações de Michel de Certeau sobre tática e estratégia e também circulação. As fontes utilizadas foram o Estatuto e Boletins da Cruz Vermelha Brasileira, Histórico da Cruz Vermelha Paranaense, relatórios governamentais paranaenses, documentos e relatórios da Faculdade de Medicina do Paraná, revistas médicas, o jornal Diário da Tarde e excertos dos jornais Gazeta do Povo, A República e Commercio do Paraná. Palavras chave: educação em saúde; visitadora sanitária; educação de mulheres; puericultura; parteira.Abstract: This dissertation aimed to understand actions for the education and education of women from Curitiba, between 1917 and 1931, with a view to improving the health conditions of people, especially mothers and children, especially those related to childcare practices as well as the possibilities of the formation of the Health Visitors in the state of Paraná. In the late 1910s, government initiatives intensified to expand health care for the population with the prospect of forging a strong people for a modern nation. In this context, philanthropic actions were also fundamental. In Paraná, considering this movement, the female philanthropy, through the Red Cross of Paraná, worked in favor of training and education of women in health, with the primary objective of disseminating notions of childcare, hygiene and prophylaxis of diseases, at a time when education received national evidence, highlighting the School of Mothers. At the same time, state initiatives for the training of women from Curitiba to practice health were strategics, aiming the circulation of health precepts among the population and among these initiatives I highlight courses for health visitors and educators as well as obstetrics for midwives. It was possible to perceive the close relationship between health and education, carried out by the women, who contributed significantly to the health education of other women, mothers or future mothers. The temporal cut of this work was initially marked by the organization movement by women of the Brazilian Red Cross, Paraná branch (called Cruz Vermelha Paranaense), in 1917, the same year of creation of the First Aid courses for Volunteer Nurses by the institution, and the final year, 1931, marked the extinction of the Practical Nursing School, with the creation of the Obstetric Nursing Course of the Faculty of Medicine of Paraná, organized from the new educational dictates for the more specialized training in public health. The main theoretical reference for this dissertation were the considerations of Michel de Certeau on tactics and strategy and also circulation. The sources used were the Statute and Bulletins of the Brazilian Red Cross, the History of the Red Cross of Paraná, government reports from Paraná, documents and reports from the Faculty of Medicine of Paraná, medical journals, the newspaper Diário da Tarde and excerpts from the newspapers Gazeta do Povo, A República and Commercio do Paraná.
