Defesa: Curitiba, 14/08/2009Inclui bibliografiaResumo: A presente investigação objetivou evidenciar se a expectativa criada em torno do Internato do Ginásio Paranaense (1919 -1942) como mais um Luzeiro do Saber na cidade de Curitiba foi concretizada. A instituição investigada foi criada como um anexo do Ginásio Paranaense, atual Colégio Estadual do Paraná. Através desta investigação pretendeu-se analisar o Internato do Ginásio Paranaense a partir do seu intramuros, inventariando seu cotidiano na tentativa de trazer a tona noções das práticas dos diferentes sujeitos que vivenciaram seu cotidiano. Para tanto procurei analisar as estratégias utilizadas pelo governo do Paraná e pela direção geral do Ginásio Paranaense por ocasião da criação, funcionamento e manutenção desta instituição, bem como as estratégias da Igreja Católica local para se fazer presente na instituição e reforçar seus valores junto aos ginasianos. O referencial teórico utilizado foram os conceitos de estratégias e táticas do Historiador Michel de Certeau e o de Cultura escolar de Viñao Frago. Para produção desta narrativa utilizei as seguintes fontes, a saber: do arquivo escolar do Internato do Ginásio Paranaense, disponíveis no atual Colégio Marista Paranaense, os jornais Gazeta do Povo e o Dia entre 1919 a1942, relatórios da subdireção do Internato apresentado a direção geral desta instituição, mensagens e relatórios de governo e algumas correspondências dos padres lazaristas e de alunos. A justificativa para presente pesquisa foi à busca da construção de memória relativo ao ensino secundário público em Curitiba. Esperamos que este trabalho possa contribuir para configuração de um quadro da história da educação secundaria paranaense e, que ao mesmo tempo possa servir para outros trabalhos no sentido de ampliar a discussão apresentada. Esta investigação desdobrou em três capítulos, sendo que o primeiro faz uma abordagem sobre a criação do Internato, a equiparação dessa instituição ao Colégio Pedro II e, como aconteceu à transferência da mesma de uma gestão laica para uma gestão da Igreja Católica local, primeiramente sob a administração dos padres lazaristas entre (1925 a 1939) e posteriormente pelos Irmãos Maristas do Sul 1939 a 1942. Ainda neste primeiro capítulo procurei trazer à tona quais foram às estratégias do Estado e da direção geral do Ginásio Paranaense ao que tange a criação e manutenção do Internato e quais as estratégias da Igreja Católica local para se fazer presente na instituição e reforçar seus valores junto aos ginasianos. No segundo capítulo abordo sobre a presença da instituição no cenário da educação curitibana procurando ter uma noção de como foi o ensino secundário regular na instituição imposto pelo regime republicano versus exames parcelados herdados do antigo regime (Império) e como foi o ensino secundário regular na instituição na década de 1930 sob a inspeção federal. O terceiro e último versa sobre algumas reflexões relativas à cultura escolar do Internato, mais especificamente sobre as práticas pedagógicas, na tentativa de captar nuances das práticas dos professores relativo a metodologia aplicada na década de 1920 e 1930 e, por fim procurei trazer a tona as apropriações que os ginasianos fizeram do código disciplinar ao que tange ao uso dos espaços e do tempo na instituição.Abstract: The present investigation aimed to make evident if the expectative around "Internato do Ginásio Paranaense" ( 1919 -1942 ) as one more "Luzeiro do Saber "in Curitiba city was realized. The investigated institution was created as an annex of the Ginásio Paranaense, current Colégio Estadual do Paraná. Throught this investigation it was intended to analyze the indoor of the Internato do Ginásio Paranaense making its daily inventory trying to bring at the surface notions of the practices of ther different individuals and their experiences. For this reason , I tried to analyze the strategies used by Parana Government and by the Ginásio Paranaense main principal in the moment of the creation, the function and the maintenance of this institution, as well as the strategies of the local Catholic Church to be present in the institution and reinforce its values to the students. As a theoric referencial were used the concepts of strategies and tactics of the historicist Michel de Certeau and of Viñao Frago school culture. For the production of this narrative I used the following sources from the "Internato do Ginásio Paranaense's" school files, available at the current "Colégio Marista Paranaense", "Gazeta do Povo" and "O Dia"(1919-1942) journals, the vice principal's reports presented to this main principal's institution, messages and government's report and some priests's and students' mails. The reason for the present investigation was the search for the rebuild of the memory related to the public High School in Curitiba. I hope that this work can contribute to the memory Paranaense High School history and at the same time can help other works to develop the presented discussion. This investigation was divided in three chapters. The first chapter makes an approach about the creation of the Internato, the comparison of this institution to Colégio Pedro II, and how happened the transference from laica administration to the local Catholic Church one. Firstly, it is presented under the Lazarist priests administration between 1925 and 1939 and lately by Irmãos Maristas do Sul (1939 a 1942). Even in this chapter I wiil try to bring to surface what were the strategies of the state and the main principal of Ginasio Parananese related to the creation and maintenance of the Internato and what are the strategies of the local Catholic Church to be presentin the institution and reforce their values to the students. In the second chapter I approach about the presence of the institution in the scenery of the Curitibana education trying to understand how was the regular high school teaching in the institution forced by the republic political system versus parcel examination inherited from the old system ( Imperor) and also understand how was the regular high school teaching in the institution in 1930's under the federal inspection. The third and the last chapter discusses about some reflections related to the Internato school culture, mainly about the pedagogic practices, trying to receive aspects of the teachers' practices related to the applied methodology in 1920's and 1930's.
