O gênero e as espécies são redescritos. Chave para identificação das espécies e mapas de distribuição geográfica são fornecidos. O estudo da morfologia das espécies de Ceralocyna e ainda de espécies, incluindo as espécies-tipo, de Ancylocera Audinet-Serville, 1834, Callancyla Aurivillius, 1912 e Cercoptera Spinola, 1839 permitiram a definição de novos caracteres para Ancylocerina Thomson, 1864, para Ceralocyna e suas espécies. O estudo indica como sendo de ocorrência supragenérica os caracteres das peças bucais, endostemitos, venação alar, empódio e ovipositor. A conformação do oitavo estemito do macho não foi corroborado como caráter para a subtribo. Para Ceralocyna, além dos caracteres morfológicos externos, caracteres da terminália masculina, como oitavo esternito e tégmen podem constituir caracteres diagnósticos. Dois grupos de espécies puderam ser caracterizados, principalmente pela forma do protórax e pontuação. No primeiro grupo, com pronoto fortemente convexo, gibosidades proeminentes e pontuação fina, o protórax é vermelho. No segundo grupo, com protórax preto, o pronoto é aplanado, com gibosidades quase nulas e pontuação grossa. Espécies com características intermediárias não permitiram, no momento, estabelecer subgêneros ou até gêneros distintos.Abstract: The genus Ceralocyna Viana, 1971 is revised. A detailed morphological study of the species and of the terminalia of other species is present. A key to species and maps of their distribution are provided. The morphological study of Ceralocyna along with the species of Ancylocera Audinet-Serville, 1834, Callancyla Aurivillius, 1912 and Cercoptera Spinola, 1839, including the type species, allowed the recognition of new characters of Ancylocerina Thomson, 1864, of Ceralocyna and its species. Features of the mouth parts, endostemites, wing venation, empodium and ovipositor are indicate as suprageneric. Otherwise, the shape of the male 8th stemite is not corroborate to define Ancylocerina. For Ceralocyna, besides the external morphology characters described herein, the male 8th stemite and tegmen are hypothesized as proper of the genus. Two groups of species were recognized, mainly by the shape prothorax and punctation. In one group, the pronotum is strongly convex, with proeminent gibbosities and finely punctated, the prothorax is red. In the other group, with black prothorax, the pronotum is flattened and coarsely punctate.
