Defesa : Curitiba, 29/04/2021Inclui referências: p. 396-428Resumo: A preocupação inicial desse trabalho foi de buscar expandir certas possibilidades de interação entre humanos e não humanos através da musicalidade, mediante uma abordagem intercultural entre povos regionais que são diversos daquela da hipótese inicial, desenvolvida entre os Kulina de língua Arawá. Os contatos entre esses últimos com os Yawanawá de língua Pano, que notavelmente incorporaram alguns de seus cantos e canções xamânicas, resultaram não apenas na afirmação da possibilidade inicial, como descortinaram uma ampla rede de trocas imateriais entre vários povos regionais, linguisticamente assemelhados ou não. Os Yawanawá têm um histórico de contato intenso com não indígenas, principalmente a partir do final do século XIX, quando foram alcançados pela frente extrativista da borracha. Durante parte do século XX foram proibidos de falar sua própria língua, realizar rituais ou entoar seus cantos, preservando esses conhecimentos na memória dos pajés. Após a demarcação e ampliação de sua área, no final do mesmo século, iniciam um vertiginoso processo de ressurgimento cultural, exteriorizado em seus festivais e nos mariri. É notável que principalmente nos últimos cem anos os Yawanawá lograram mudar sem se desconectar do seu xamanismo, a partir do qual sua musicalidade emerge como um forte elemento agregador.Abstract: This work's initial concern was to seek to expand certain possibilities of interaction between humans and non-humans through musicality, upon an intercultural approach between regional peoples that are different from that of the initial hypothesis, developed among the Arawáspeaking Kulina. The contact between the latter with the Pano-speaking Yawanawá, who notably incorporated some of their shamanic songs and chants, resulted not only in the affirmation of the initial possibility, but also revealed a wide network of immaterial exchanges between several regional peoples, linguistically similar or not. The Yawanawá have a history of intense contact with non-indigenous people, mainly from the end of the 19th century, when they were reached by the rubber extraction front. During part of the 20th century, they were prohibited from speaking their own language, performing rituals or chanting their songs, maintaining this knowledge in the memory of the shamans. After the demarcation and expansion of the area, at the end of the same century, they started a vertiginous process of cultural resurgence, externalized in their festivals and in the mariri. It is notable that the Yawanawá have managed to change, mainly in the last hundred years, without disconnecting from their shamanism, from which their musicality emerges as a strong aggregating element.1 arquivo (431 p.) : il.
