O clima da região é do tipo Cfb, temperado, com verões frescos, geadas freqüentes, sem estação seca definida, com médias anuais de temperatura em torno de 22° C (verão) e 18° C (inverno). A floresta desenvolveu-se sobre solos hidromórficos minerais da ordem dos Gleissolos Háplicos e Melânicos, com lençol freático variando entre 70 cm e 120 cm de profundidade no período seco. Este trabalho veio complementar as informações do projeto "Diagnóstico e Monitoramento da Cobertura Vegetal da área de Influência Direta e Indireta do Vazamento de Óleo da Refinaria Presidente Getúlio Vargas - REPAR, Araucária, PR", que teve como objetivo o conhecimento da florística e da estrutura da Floresta Ombrófila Mista Aluvial. Como objetivos específicos buscou-se caracterizar a composição florística e analisar a estrutura do estrato de regeneração através dos parâmetros fitossociológicos das espécies arbóreas e arbustivas amostradas e comparar o estrato de regeneração com os estratos intermediário e superior da floresta. Para isto, foram amostradas todas as espécies com altura compreendida entre 0,20 m e 1,30 m, em 84 parcelas de 1mx1m Foram identificadas 16 famílias, 28 gêneros e 34 espécies. A estrutura fitossociológica do estrato da regeneração caracterizou-se pela presença de Allophyllus edulis (Sapindaceae), espécie mais importante deste estrato, seguida por Myciaria tenella, Daphnopsis racemosa, Eugenia uniflora, Matayba elaeagnoides, Myrrhinium atropurpureum, Eugenia uruguayensis, Blepharocalyx salicifolius e Casearia decandra. De acordo com os índices de diversidade analisados (Shannon, Simpson e Equabilidade), a comunidade apresenta baixa diversidade florística por situar-se em uma planície aluvionar com inundações periódicas. A maioria dos indivíduos esteve presente nas três primeiras classes de diâmetro e de altura. Em comparação com estrato superior, os estratos intermediário e de regeneração apresentam maior diversidade florística e semelhança, de acordo com os índices de Similaridade de Sorensen e Jaccard. Além disto, apresentam alta densidade de indivíduos, que sofrerão influência dos mecanismos que atuam na compensação de espécies dentro da floresta estudada. Considerando os três estratos da Floresta Ombrófila Mista Aluvial estudada, verifica-se que a mesma é definida por Sebastiania commersoniana no estrato superior e por Allophyllus edulis nos estratos inferiores. Devido à importância destas espécies nos seus respectivos estratos, pode-se dizer que as mesmas caracterizam esta formação e são as mais adaptadas ao regime hidrológico que predomina nos solos que as sustentam. Os estratos intermediário e de regeneração são responsáveis pelos mecanismos que realizam a compensação de espécies, como recrutamento, mortalidade e crescimento, fazendo com que a diversidade e a sobrevivência das mesmas, dentro de um determinado ecossistema, sejam mantidas. Isto demonstra a importante função destes estratos, que garantem a dinâmica e, portanto, a continuidade das florestas.Abstract: The present study was carried out on the remnants of an Alluvial Mixed Ombrophyllous Forest of the hydrographic basin of the Barigüi River, a tributary of the Iguaçu River, owned by the Refinery President Getúlio Vargas (REPARPETROBRAS) in Araucária, State of Paraná, Brazil. The site is situated between the coordinates 25°34'02,5"S and 49°20'53,5"W with an average altitude of about 920 m above see-level. The climate of the region is classified by Köppen as type Cfb, corresponding to a temperate climate, presenting mild summers, frequent frosts, without a definite dry season, with annual average temperature around 22° C (summer) and 18° C (winter). The forest occurs on top of mineral hydromorphic soil of the Meianic Gleysol and Haplic Gleysol orders, with ground water level varying between 70cm and 120 cm of depth in the dry period This work has complemented the information provided by the project called "Diagnosis and Monitoring of the Vegetal Cover in the area of Direct and indirect Influence of the Oil Licking of the Refinery President Getúlio Vargas - REPAR, Araucária, PR", which had as objective the knowledge of the floristic composition and structure of the Alluvial Mixed Ombrophyllous Forest. The present project has as specific objectives to characterize the floristic composition and to anaiyze the structure of the regeneration strata using phytossocioiogical parameters of trees and shrubs species, and to compare the regeneration strata of the forest with the intermediate and superior ones. For that, ali tree species with height between 0,20 m and 1,30m within 84 parceis of im x im were sampied. lt was possible to identify 16 famiiies, 28 genera and 34 species The Dhytossocioiogicat structure of the regeneration strata was characterized for the cresence of Allophyllus edulis (Sapindaceae), considered the most important species of this stratum, foliowed by Myrciaria tenella, Daphnopsis racemosa, Eugenia iniflora, Matayba elaeagnoides, Myrrhinium atropurpureum, Eugenia uruguayensis, Blepharocalyx salicifolius and Casearia decandra. According to the diversity indexes which were analyzed (Shannon, Simpson and Equabiliity), the community presents low floristic diversity due to its location in the river plain, which suffers periodic floodings. In relation to the horizontal and vertical structures, the majority of the individuals was present in the first three classes of diameter and height. Considering the intermediate and the superior regeneration strata of the Alluvial Mixed Ombrophyllous Forest which were studied, Sebastiania commersoniana characterizes the superior stratum and Allophyllus edulis the inferior one. Due to the importance of these species in their respective strata, it can be said that they characterize this formation and are adapted to the hydrologic regimes that predominate on the soil that supports the forest. The intermediate and the regeneration strata are responsible for the mechanisms that do the compensation of species, as recruitment, mortality and growth. These mechanisms maintain the diversity and the survival of the species at a specific ecosystem. This shows the important function of these strata, as they guarantee the dynamics and, therefore, the continuity of the forests. This way the intermediate and the regeneration strata present greater floristic diversity and likeness as far as the indexes of Similarity of Sorensen and Jaccard are concerned, in comparison to the superior stratum.
