Defesa: Curitiba, 27/10/2016Inclui referências : f. 26-30;49-54;93-100Área de concentração: Produção vegetalResumo: Visando contribuir para o melhor entendimento do impacto das ações antrópicas sobre remanescentes de Floresta Ombrófila Mista submetidos a sistema silvipastoril tradicional, regionalmente denominados caíva, apresenta-se resultado de pesquisa realizada em caívas localizadas em propriedades rurais, em três municípios no Planalto Norte Catarinense. Avaliou-se o impacto de sistema silvipastoril tradicional na composição florística e estrutura fitossociológica de espécies arbóreas em sete remanescentes de Floresta Ombrófila Mista. Adicionalmente, avaliou-se a regeneração natural em quatro destes remanescentes de FOM sob dois diferentes manejos de pastejo animal (tradicional sem sobressemeadura e com sobressemeadura). Com base nos resultados obtidos, são discutidas as implicações do manejo sobre os remanescentes florestais, assim como são apresentadas recomendações para adequada manutenção, conservação e uso sustentável de remanescentes de FOM fora de UCs. Palavras-chave: sistema integrado de produção agropecuária, conservação ambiental, regeneração florestalAbstract: Aiming to contribute to a better understanding of the impact of human actions on remnants of Araucaria Forest under traditional silvopastoral system, regionally called caíva, is presented results of research conducted in caívas located on rural properties in three counties in Santa Catarina's North Highlands. Was evaluated the traditional silvopastoral system impact in floristic composition and phytosociological structure of seven Mixed Rain Forest remainings, and natural regeneration in four of these remnants under two different animals grazing managements (traditional without overseeded and overseeded). Based on these results, the management of the implications on forest remnants are discussed, and recommendations are presented for proper maintenance, conservation and sustainable use of remaining FOM outside protected areas.
