Defesa: Curitiba, 26/02/2014Inclui referênciasÁrea de concentração : SilviculturaResumo: A fragmentacao das florestas nativas paranaenses ocorreu intensamente nas ultimas decadas, impulsionada principalmente pelo avanco das fronteiras agricolas. Muitas destas areas sao protegidas por lei, e devem ser preservadas devido a sua funcao ecologica, como e o caso das florestas riparias. A revegetacao destas areas e fundamental, visto sua relacao com a qualidade e sustentabilidade dos recursos hidricos. O presente estudo objetivou avaliar a formacao inicial de uma floresta riparia utilizando indicadores de qualidade do solo e o desenvolvimento de duas especies arboreas nativas, submetidas a diferentes adubacoes e coberturas de solo. O experimento foi conduzido na Fazenda Experimental Gralha Azul, pertencente a Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Parana, localizada no municipio de Fazenda Rio Grande. Os tratamentos constaram de floresta riparia remanescente nativa (considerada area de referencia), testemunha, sucessao nabo/crotalaria, sucessao ervilhaca/feijao guandu, sucessao aveia preta/mucuna preta, adubacao organica, calcario, adubacao NPK, adubacao NPK + calcario, adubacao NPK+ calcario + organica. Nos tratamentos foram plantadas as especies arboreas Mimosa scabrella (bracatinga) e Schinus terebinthifolia (aroeira). Foram realizadas analises quimicas, biologicas e fisicas do solo e mensurado o crescimento inicial (altura, diametro) e sobrevivencia das arboreas nativas bracatinga e aroeira. Os tratamentos com aplicacao de NPK, NPK+cal e NPK+cal+org apresentaram os maiores indices de cobertura de solo e intensidade da vegetacao espontanea. Os diferentes tratamentos influenciaram significativamente a fertilidade do solo, a populacao e atividade microbiana, enquanto as caracteristicas fisicas do solo nao foram alteradas. Decorridos doze meses apos o plantio observou-se que a adubacao mineral e calagem foram responsaveis pelo maior incremento em diametro e altura da bracatinga e da aroeira. Conclui-se que a adubacao mineral foi importante para o estabelecimento das especies arboreas nativas testadas. Palavras-chave: Vegetacao nativa. Fitomassa. Revegetacao. Fertilidade do solo.Abstract: The fragmentation of the Parana State's native forests has occurred intensively in recent decades, driven mainly by the expansion of agricultural frontiers. Many of these areas are protected by law and should be preserved because of their ecological function, such as the riparian forests. Regarding the relation of these areas with the quality and sustainability of water resources, the revegetation is essential. The present study aimed to evaluate the initial formation of a riparian forest using indicators of soil quality and the development of two native tree species under different fertilization and cover crops. The experiment was conducted at the Gralha Azul Experimental Farm, belonging to the Pontificia Universidade Catolica do Parana (PUC/PR), located in the municipality of Fazenda Rio Grande. The treatments consisted of native remaining riparian forest (considered a referential area), witness, succession of turnip / crotalaria, vetch / faba bean, black oat / velvet bean, organic fertilizer, lime, fertilization NPK, fertilization NPK + lime and fertilization NPK + lime + organic fertilization. During the treatments, the Mimosa scabrella (bracatinga) and Schinus terebinthifolia (aroeira) species were planted. Chemical, biological and physical soil analyzes were performed and measured the initial growth (height, diameter) and survival of the native trees bracatinga and mastic. The treatments with application of NPK, NPK + lime and NPK + lime + org showed the highest levels of soil covering and intensity of spontaneous vegetation. The different treatments influenced significantly the soil fertility, microbial population and activity, whereas soil physical characteristics have not changed. Within twelve months after planting, it was observed that the mineral fertilizer and lime were responsible for the greatest increase in diameter and height for bracatinga and in height for mastic. We conclude that the mineral fertilization and lime were important for the establishment of these tree native species tested. Keywords: Native Vegetation. Phytomass. Revegetation.
