Defesa : Curitiba, 01/08/2019Inclui referências: p. 136-141Resumo: Este trabalho analisa questões relativas ao processo de adesão ao magistério das professoras da rede municipal de educação de Guaratuba/PR, em relação ao habitus, à escolha profissional, ao tempo de carreira e às condições de trabalho. Além de analisar tais questões, este trabalho também objetivou caracterizar as professoras no que se refere à origem social, práticas culturais e escolaridade, investigar as principais dificuldades que elas vinham enfrentando em sua prática, discutir os motivos que levaram à escolha pela docência e estabelecer relações entre condições de trabalho e tempo de carreira no processo de adesão ao magistério. A metodologia de pesquisa aliou instrumentos quantitativos a qualitativos. Os resultados foram obtidos a partir dos 231 questionários devolvidos e, posteriormente, com análise das entrevistas de dez professoras. Com base na teoria de Pierre Bourdieu, foi possível apontar que as professoras da rede compõem um grupo com baixa posse de capitais, que se originaram de famílias com tendência crescente à escolarização e que tiveram a escolarização básica em escolas públicas, mas a superior em instituições privadas e de baixo prestígio social. Em relação ao processo de adesão ao magistério, foi perceptível que ele é atravessado por alguns aspectos além do habitus do grupo, tais como os relacionados à escolha profissional, ao tempo de carreira e às condições de trabalho. As professoras que expressaram, em sua escolha pela profissão, ajustamento à cultura da escola e à prática docente, chegaram às salas de aula com alguma adesão ao magistério ou, então, com grande propensão à adesão. Já as que, ao ingressarem na docência, tinham outra intenção profissional ou não desejavam ser professoras, apresentaram maior resistência ao processo. No entanto, o atravessamento das questões objetivas próprias do grupo social, aliadas ao tempo de carreira, mostraram-se como fatores favoráveis à adesão. Em contrapartida, as condições de trabalho a que as professoras estão submetidas, se relevaram como aspectos que dificultam à adesão ao magistério. Palavras-chave: Adesão ao magistério. Habitus. Docência.Abstract: This paper analyzes issues related to the process of adherence to the teaching profession of teachers of the municipal education in Guaratuba/PR, in relation to habitus, professional choice, career time and working conditions. In addition to analyzing such questions, this study also aimed to characterize teachers regarding social origin, cultural practices and schooling, to investigate the main difficulties they were facing in their practice, to discuss the reasons that led to the choice of teaching and to establish relationships between working conditions and career time in the process of joining the teaching profession. The research methodology alied quantitative to qualitative instruments. The results were obtained from the 231 returned questionnaires and, later, with the analysis of the interviews of ten teachers. Based on Pierre Bourdieu's theory, it was possible to point out that the teachers make up a group with low capital possession, which originated from families with an increasing tendency to schooling and who had basic schooling in public schools, but the higher in institutions private and of low social prestige. In relation to the process of joining the teaching profession, it was perceptible that it is crossed by aspects other than the group's habitus, such as those related to professional choice, career time and working conditions. The teachers who expressed, in their choice of profession, adjustment to the school culture and teaching practice, arrived in the classrooms with some adhesion to the teaching profession or, therefore, with a high propensity to join. Those who, when entering the teaching, had another professional intention or did not want to be teachers, presented greater resistance to the process. However, the crossing of the objective questions of the social group, allied to the career time, were shown as favorable factors for adherence. On the other hand, the working conditions to which the teachers are subjected, have been highlighted as aspects that make it difficult to join the teaching profession.
