Defesa : Curitiba, 17/03/2023Inclui referências: p. 60-65Resumo: A pesquisa aqui proposta busca responder a seguinte pergunta: como o tema da COVID-19 foi tratado na construção das campanhas digitais no Twitter dos candidatos à prefeitura de Curitiba nas eleições municipais de 2020? Através da coleta e análise de 3216 tweets divididos entre 12 perfis de candidatos à prefeitura, o trabalho tem como objetivos: analisar o conteúdo das campanhas dos candidatos e identificar em quais contextos o tema da pandemia foi utilizado nos tweets; explicitar as diferenças de tratamento da temática da pandemia entre as campanhas dos candidatos; e avaliar, pela presença dos termos relacionados à pandemia dentro dos tweets, quais foram as principais relações traçadas entre a crise sanitária e outras pautas de interesse público dentro das campanhas. Os 3261 tweets foram submetidos à uma Análise de Conteúdo Automatizada, que consiste na análise da presença e intensidade de determinados termos dentro de um corpus lexical. Identificadas as coocorrências dos termos e a presença relativa desses termos dentro das classes de palavras (clusters) formados a partir dessa análise, foi possível identificar: como se deu o uso do tema pandemia como estatisticamente significativo dentro das campanhas dos candidatos, perceber que a temática foi utilizada em contextos que envolvem desde propostas públicas pautadas pela crise sanitária a disputas ideológicas entre candidatos, identificar um teor negacionista do uso da temática pandêmica pelos candidatos da extrema-direita; e também analisar as diferenças entre as campanhas dos principais candidatos inseridos na disputa.Abstract: The research herein proposed seeks to answer the following question: how was the topic of COVID-19 addressed in the construction of digital campaigns on Twitter profiles of the candidates for mayor of Curitiba in the 2020 municipal elections? Through the collection and analysis of 3261 tweets divided among 12 profiles of mayoral candidates, the study aims to: analyze the content of the candidates' campaigns and identify in which contexts the pandemic theme was used in the tweets; explain the differences in the approach of the pandemic theme between candidates'campaigns; and evaluate, through the presence of terms related to the pandemic within the tweets, which were the main relations drawn between the heath crisis and other public interest agendas within the campaigns. The 3261 tweets were submitted to an Automated Content Analysis, which consists on analyzing the presence and intensity of certain terms within a lexical corpus.
